Hello, everyone!
This is my first post, and I would just like to thank you all for maintaining such a wonderful website and community. I have utilized the information found here anonymously for awhile. I have never really been part of a community before, so I just hope I'm doing things right.
I'm super early in my transition, exactly a month today when the concept first entered my brain, but let me tell you- there were signs just constantly strewn throughout my life that I either didn't recognize or I chose to ignore. I think before this past month(and even a little during) I was willing to take my true self to the grave....WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO LIVE YOUR LIFE!
Anyway, I've been blessed, I think, because of how different the state of the community and it's resources are nowadays verses just several years ago. And the terms of my relationship, job, and general lifestyle, gave me the opportunity to just "go for it!"
So, I don't know what else to say really um.. I would appreciate if you gals(or dudes) found threads that were really helpful for you, to share with me that might be difficult to find now.
So, um, yeah, I guess that's about it. Just call me Eryn! :)
PS: In particular, threads about foundation 'cause I'm probably going to need to make a post about that soon >.<
PPS: I'm MtF
Hi Eryn!
Welcome to Susan's Place! As you can probably already tell, this is the best place to be for those of us working through such things. I'm a 59 year old MtF, and have known all my life that I was female inside. A significant number of our friends here are like you, though, just figuring it out.
There is so much information here it can be like drinking from a fire hose, so I can recommend reading other's introductions, then finding their personal threads and watching the growth that takes place. Transitioning is an awesome process, but it's all doable.
As an official greeter here, I've attached links that explain how things work here. Give them a read and I think you'll find lots of helpful information there.
Again, welcome!
Stephanie

Welcome girl!!!
Glad you're being true to you!
Why did someone down vote this tho?
@Stephanie
Thank you so much! I will be sure to read them to the best of my ability. Truth be told, I almost missed the introduction forum when I was trying to look at policies! Im glad that you're a welcome greeter for possibly shy people like myself. You really made my night with a simple acknowledgment/greeting, as Im sure others have felt the same, too. All of you really are so nice, thank you for your heartfelt greetings!
@Laurie
I'm no stranger to reinventing myself and I totally agree with your analogy of opening the door. I've always been a dedicated, hard worker but this definitely takes the cake! I admire you all so much for everything you must have gone through, too. And ultimately, we all do need each other if not for anything than just moral support and Im so glad to have finally found that here!
@V M
Thank you, you seem like a pretty fun girl! Im typically shy, but I feel the complete opposite when I'm in girl-mode. God damn is it a great feeling, high on life and all that!
@ SailorMars
Love the outfit! :laugh: I've always liked Sailor Moon! Thank you for greeting me warmly, and I think maybe someone doesn't like my name, heh heh. That or I already broke a rule without realizing. >.<
I've always put others before myself, I was so afraid of thinking myself selfish or uncaring... This is the first time it's really felt like Im doing something just for me and it's a wonderful feeling!
Hiya Eryn!! I hope you get even a fraction out of this site that I have, it is a truly wonderful place! :)
Welcome Eryn!! I pretty new here also. It is a great site with a lot of helpful people to help or just to listen.
Julie
Hi Eryn 🙋♀️ I'm Jessica, welcome to Susan's Place!

Hiya Eryn! I'm Alyssa. I am also new to these forums and in the early stages of my transition. We will have to keep each other motivated!!
Wow, so many wonderful ladies here I can't even keep up! xD
Thank you for welcoming me to the community Ellie, Julie and thank you for my next tip Jessica, i'll be sure to check it out! I'm really wanting to wear makeup and I have already a few times in front of loved ones without they're knowing- what I got was, "You don't look like you just got up!" but they didn't know. Ugh, but my latest attempt was such a disaster that I had to wipe it off immediately (which is so much harder than I expected, by the way!)
Hey Alyssa, girl, I'd like that! I'll try not to steer you in the wrong direction, but as I'm still learning I'm sure to make plenty of mistakes! xD
PS: Love the analogy in your signature, Jessica. It is so true!
Well at this point I am just as likely to do the same bahahahahaha. We will learn at the same time I suppose. I will pass on anything I stumble upon of interest.
And makeup, makeup, makeup. I was scared of makeup in general for a long time...like it was my no turning back point. I finally got past that hee hee - but yeah I also can't really run around in makeup or female clothes for a few more months until I get my own place again - and then my place, my rules!!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Welcome Eryn!
Like you I am new to the forum and relatively early in my journey. I can't wait to see where your journey takes you!
Though I'm not close to transitioning yet, it makes me feel like Red from Into the Woods, "Excited and scared."
