I forgot my sobriety anniversary, it was yesterday.
32 years without a drink. :)

@Devlyn Congratulations are definitely in order for you... that is a big accomplishment for sure.... not only do you feel better but you feel better about yourself.
.... and look at all the money you have saved .... go celebrate with friends, but only with food, ice cream and candy... hmmmm, chocolate sounds right to me.
Again, congratulations, it is difficult thing to quit drinking for sure...
... it takes a massive amount of determination and willpower.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle
Thanks! ;D
The first few years were bad, as time went on it got easier. I make wine now, I cook with it and give it away, but I drink none of it. I'm not interested in the buzz. I swish and spit to see what I've brewed. :D

Congrats, that's a great accomplishment. Alcohol controlled my life once too, mostly just weekends.

Hooray!
I'm going on 22 years without a drink.
Lucky for me I hate alcohol :p

omg I'm a newcomer compared to all you old sober people. I only have 19 years since my last drink. I almost said to hell with it about 4 years ago when the told ma again that my cancer had come back and that it was inoperable. I didn't have that drink though.
Congrats Devyln and the rest of you old timers.
Hugs,
Laurie
Old timers?
Although I must admit the 32 years of sobriety is starting to clash with all these 29th birthdays I keep having.
Glad you didn't take that drink. :)
Hugs, Devlyn
That's amazing Devlyn. A real accomplishment. Well done
Thank you, Donna! :-*

Great looking dress and picture
Well, thank you again! :)
Congrats Dev it is a major accomplishment. I used to drink and do cocaine. I also kept my smoking in the closet as I only smoked on the way to work and on the way home. When you spend 4 or more hours on the road, you need something to do. I quit 30 years ago. It was a bad time for me. lost my wife, mom and dad in short order and I tried to self medicate. Then we had a baby. I never expected to be a Dad. As a family we went to Huntington Beach. My Son who had only been walking a couple weeks which of course I was not there for. Well we put him of the walking path and he started running. That was my aha moment when I realized what a gift I was given. My son became my higher power that night and I quit everything cold turkey. I actually thought it would be hard but it really wasn't.
