I am a pianist and a tenor vocalist, I am so glad there is a place to talk about this stuff, my lowest note is D3 mainly, but sometimes I can go to D-flat3 or C-sharp3, and I can go all the way up to an A6 that is for vocals, I like they key signature of E-flat I hate sharps, I like flats a lot more then sharps, I kinda just picked up the piano last year and ran with it.

Hi, I am not much of a singer but I do play the guitar. I am far from a musician though. I just do it for fun and a hobby.

That is interesting I tried playing the guitar, but I quit, it hurt my fingers and it wasn't really for me, and I couldn't sing while doing it, I can sing and play piano really well.
It does take time to get your fingers use to the pressure on the strings. At first I felt like I was pressing on the strings really hard and now it is way more fluid. I am just an average player for fun though. I usually don't sing along with playing. I leave that up to a better singer.
I've been digging deeper into guitar after off and on playing bass for decades. Getting used to the strings is a challenge after exclusively playing fretless. I'm doing well for having sausage fingers too. And Learning more theory this time around. I can't sing and play, but I'm good at strumming while watching tv or YouTube.

I used to play piano when I was younger. People tell me I have the perfect hands for piano, which I guess I agree. I have long fingers. But idk, I kinda just didn't find myself enjoying it enough to keep going. Maybe I'd tinker around with it again someday but Idk.
Other than that I do play French Horn though so that's something.
I am sorry, I really don't understand how someone can just not play piano anymore, it is like my life lol

Well, step one:
play piano.
Step two:
stop doing step one.
Guess that's how it works XD. There are times I do feel kinda sad for stopping, but guess that just wasn't the path I was going to take. I don't really have the time for it anymore either. But it is still a very neat thing to me.
You are hilarious! I am actually really busy with piano at this moment in time, but it is a fun kind of busy lol I have like 3 projects going all at once!

Well best of luck with that. Are they like you are writing your own music? Or is it like you are a performer for clients?
Kinda just curious what you meant by that.
PS. since you're new a fun tip is if you hit the "quote" button on the top right of a message it will give a little quote like I have on the top of this message so people know who you were talking to.

Thanks! I am not writing music, I like arranging it better, I do it more vocally then for piano, and I am an aspiring accompanist, I am in the 10th grade, and I have a personal music project, and I have a surprise project for my chorus teacher, and my chorus is involved in that too, and I have project assigned by my chorus teacher that we haven't started yet technically but it is a vocal project, but we are allowed to play instruments too which I am so happy about
