Hi girls and boys, it's been a while 💋
Quick question. Have any of you had any long term treatment with a gnrh analogue like Decapeptyl? I have been on it for nearly a year now and I am not sure if it's the medication or me but I feel really anxious a lot of the time and a little out of it. It's really worrying what it may be doing to me because it works by overwhelming the pituitary gland in the brain to shut down sex hormone productivity but the thing is what else is it shutting down. I have heard that it is now the anti andro of choice now and all I feel is blehhh 😵

That's actually a very good point. My serum testosterone levels were 0.5 nmol/L on my last test back in feb 😯
I have been using Suprefact (GNRH Agonist) Nasal Spray for about a year and a half now and it handled my T very effectively. Yes, I do have my ups and downs but nothing that I worry about.
As per your concerns, a combo of Estrogen and GNRH agonist could sometimes trigger this effect to some people. If you have not been on HRT for a long time, you will notice that transitioning happens both emotionally and physically. I would suggest talking to your medical professional if your anxiety gets out of hand.
Take care.
A quick trip to an endo should get you sorted , anxiety is unpleasant
personally and im no scholar.... I'm of the opinion of suppressing not completely wiping t out, my doc is the opposite
Sounds like you may be too low in hormones...the E may be too low to compensate for the reduction in T or T may be too low. Please discuss this with your doctor ASAP.
