Title: Does this look like a start? (physical change)
Post by: zombiesarepeaceful on December 27, 2007, 02:14:53 PM
I'm pre-T, and this is the...bump... I'm getting. It's only developed from me not using my natural voice, but forcing my voice lower. I've been full time for a little over a year. Does it look like an adam's apple? Do you think the prescence of the adam's apple on a guy's neck adds to my chances of passibility (many people I know, when trying to read a person's gender if they can't tell otherwise say "they have an adam's apple, its a dude).

I think its a good start, by the way is it easy for your voice to sound low, how are you doing with that?  I am also pre-T by the way.

My voice wasn't very high to begin with, but not deep enough to pass as male. I noticed as time goes on it seems to get easier to force my voice lower, which I think may be from the vocal cords thickening from talking lower...or something...because how else would I be getting an adam's apple?

not bad. :) do you really think it's from lowering your voice and has it maybe always been that way?

T might help you put on extra weight in your muscles (just ask Berry Bonds) but it will not develop something that is a genetic trait.

I'm in the same place as you, Zombies! I've been trying to lower my voice best i can when i talk and i'm pre-T too.

I had a bit of an adams apple before (cos i'm skinny i think) but a year later and this is my result:

So yeah, i really do think it's from lowering our voices all the time

Wishy, I'm jealous. Your's is bigger than mine.

Lol, didn't mean for that to sound perverted.

Nero: I'm sure it wasn't always that way.

my voice is just... unused, to say the least.
i'll never get a lower/ deeper voice if i don't talk, right?
thanks for the tip though, i'll lower my voice when i speak from now on.
at the moment people say i sound like a boy whose voice hasn't broken. good enough but for how long.

Awesome start!  Esp. for pre-T.  I have a naturally large adam's apple (looks like Wishy's!), but I think it's because I've always had a really low voice.  As soon as I started talking male all of the time (I pass well with the voice even though I'm pre-T) it got bigger. Plus, I lost 20 pounds and that helped lots.  Keep up the awesome work  :)

I don't talk much either, and I was thinking the other day that if I talked more, maybe it would grow faster. It seems to have gotten bigger since I posted this, and I noticed my voice has again become a little easier to lower. It seems to do this every couple months. I can't imagine how low it'll be once I"m on T, lol. My voice passes for a male as old as 20, according to people I've talked to. Most of the people I work with thought I was at least 18 when I started working there, and I'm really 17. Pretty good for being pre-T.

Ooh. Wishy. I like your hair. You have that "bishonen" look. Cute.
