Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Hey everyone! I've been a member on here for quite a few years and sometimes go on the chat room but have never posted. As my name is pretty unique, I don't feel comfortable sharing it on a public forum.

I am 26 years old from NYC and will be celebrating my 2 year HRT anniversary in June. I have always felt female inside and at age 4, my parents put me in therapy for what I now can relate to being similar to conversion therapy. No effect - just made me extremely shy. Had an extremely abusive father who thankfully is now out of my life for good. Over the last few years, I lost 200 lbs which gave me the strength to start my transition. I am fully out as trans and have completed all the legal steps to solidify my identity (name, gender marker).

My biggest struggle so far in transition has been facial dysphoria. Currently in a long exhausting battle with my insurance company over paying for facial feminization surgery - thankfully it seems to be coming to a positive end soon!

congratulations are in order for you for completing 2 years of HRT in June.

Even though you have been a member here at Susan's Place since 2014 ...  I have not seen where you have been sent an Official Welcome message with other important information about the site and the forums. 
Thank you for introducing yourself again. 

I see that you  may have questions and concerns, this is the right place for you to be to find out what others have done that may have been in your circumstances. 
Be aware that there are lots of members here that can identify with the issues that you brought up in your introduction posting. 

WELCOME to Susan's Place.  You will find this a safe and friendly place to share with others  and to read about others similar trials, tribulations, and successes.
It is nice that you have signed up so you can share with others and involve yourself with some give and take with other members.
When frustrated or if you have successes you can share it here if you wish and receive support from others and offer support to others. ....
