Title: A Surrey Hello <3
Post by: Obsi_Dancer on May 23, 2018, 10:32:42 AM
Hello everyone!
I was encouraged to join as I've been a little solitary of late.
42 years old... Perhaps a bit over the top, eclectic and creative, but also a little lazy too at times
I've, now, been on HRT for a little over 10 weeks. The dosage was just upped two days ago.
Suddenly I'm all paranoid that not enough, physical change, is happening... perhaps that's a normal worry.  ???
Bless Susan Larson for making this site <3

@Obsi_Dancer
Hello Obsi_Dancer    Thank you for introducing yourself.
Wow, that is terrific that you have started HRT and been on HRT for over 10 weeks now........  well, you are in for an exciting time .... and  I see that you are new here and may have questions and concerns, this is the right place for you to be to find out what others have done that may have been in your circumstances.  There are a lot of members here that, like you, that will be starting hormones or have just recently started.

I see that you mentioned that you were worried about "changes" not happening fast enough.... be certain to read other posts from those that talk about their body changes.... some quicker, some slower....  it is all up to YOUR body and how it reacts to the hormone treatments.   Usually nothing happens very quickly with HRT, but it will happen as you continue to work with your doctor, blood tests, adjusting dosages, etc.   It is human nature to think "I want it all and I want it NOW"
I tell everyone that I come across with the same concerns as you....   "Patience is required"

WELCOME to Susan's Place.  You will find this a safe and friendly place to share with others  and to read about others similar trials, tribulations, and successes.
It is nice that you have signed up so you can share with others and involve yourself with some give and take with other members.
When frustrated or if you have successes you can share it here if you wish and receive support from others and offer support to others. ....

***It's a very good chance that you might find that you will make some new friends here.

Please come in and get involved at your own pace.  Be sure to look at the Links that I posted below, there is information about the site that will help you navigate around and best utilize the features here.
Again, Welcome.
Danielle

Welcome, Obsi_Dancer!

Yes, bless Susan for making this site a reality!

That is awesome that you're already on the coaster(I hope to get on soon, but I'm a bit short still according to the cartoon giraffe sign thing) So I don't know a whole lot about HRT, but

I highly encourage you to track progress like measurements, weight, appearance, mood, energy, etc. each week at least; the changes are gonna be subtle day-to-day, you don't see that WOW factor until you really look back at all the progress. And everything I've read or heard of makes it seem like significant noticeable changes occur usually every 3 months, and well you're about 2 weeks out from that first milestone! <3

Anyway, it will be great seeing you around Susans!

Much love,
Eryn

Thanks so much for making me feel so welcome everyone.
Sorry for not checking back for so long. Trying out lots of things and sometimes i lose track of everything.

I do hope you get to start your HRT soon Eryn. I know i was quite stressed until I was sure all was approved and I could start.
Its now exactly 12 weeks and, although probably subtle to most, i see a huge change in myself looking back.
