Title: Skinny Jeans and Wallet
Post by: biannne on May 31, 2018, 07:06:47 PM
I have started wearing very tight skinny jean and when I put my wallet in my back pocket, it bulge out doesn't look very sexy. So i started putting the wallet in my front pocket, and it still bugle and look ugly.

Any suggested where everyone carry their wallet when wearing tight jeans.

Mobile Phone in the back pocket and Purse in a good clutch or handbag.

Wallets/Purses just don't seem to fit in skinny jeans full stop.

My wife hides hers in her bra. But I think she has triple D's.

I quit carrying a wallet no matter what I wear.  I got this thing like a magnetic money clip with room for about 4 cards.  That's really all I need and all I ever use anyway.  It's about the size of a deck of cards and about a quarter inch thick.

The one I have is similar to this - https://www.amazon.com/Hopsooken-Pocket-Wallet-Leather-Minimalist/dp/B071NZBRCM/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1527828996&sr=8-31&keywords=magnetic+wallet

That's what purses / handbags are for.  If I don't feel like carrying a purse, I'll take a jacket and put my wallet and keys in the jacket pocket.

Once you get over the thought of carrying a purse all the time the problem is solved.  Way back when, I quickly realized I probably drew more attention to myself with a wallet in my back pocket than with a small purse.   I now have a slim hard shell card case that I keep my license, CC and a few dollars in.  If I'm just going for a walk I slide it into my front pocket.   My SO has a huge wallet so she always carries her handbag.

OK, there is nothing "skinny" about me.  However, the very thought of skinny jeans sort of says nothing can go in the supposed pockets.  There are a lot of good suggestions here.  I just drop back and use a large handbag -- that sort of goes with being a (harmless old) lady.

Big wallet bulging from a back pocket is a sure giveaway; for your own safety don't do that.

Cell phone half out of your back pocket, nothing else above ID and one CC. Anymore and you need a purse or handbag of some sort.

You said it yourself, nothing sexy about that.  :)

Oh, the never ending fashion over function debate concerning women's clothing.  Why oh why do some of the cutest clothes have to make you sacrifice all functionality.  The struggle is so real, lol.

With Love,

I have not even heard of a fanny pack in YEARS.  I thought that fad had died a quiet death long ago.  Being the pack rat I am there is probably one still to be found if I look hard enough...  Would I use it?  NO!!!

I haven't graduated to the super tight skinny jeans yet. My Levis Mid-Rise Skinnies seem to leave enough room for the wallet back there, though I don't use the extra shallow front pockets for much. I'm gradually building a small collection of shoulder bags, one shoulder packs and so forth, so I guess I'm about ready for it. But, based on my observation, the pockets on jeggings and the like are only decorative.

I use a Man bag that could be carried by either male or female and it is worn across my front.
I would just go with what you may be comfortable presenting as. I am glad I got rid of my wallet and will now always have a bag of some description. Phones, keys, reading glasses, money, cards and my small spray bottle of perfume.

Hi Sue -  "small spray bottle of perfume" - excellent!
In the weekends when my wife and I are going out shopping or some other public place she sprays both of us with Juicy Couture 'Couture Couture' - god I LOVE that perfume, she has a great range of perfumes which we both wear but that is my favourite ( and who knew I would ever be wearing Nikki Minaj...??? - but I do some days lol )

I have a minimalist slim wallet with all the crap removed. Only ID, insurance card, 2 bank cards, and a couple bills. It hides pretty well in my front pocket
