Just a bit over 2 months on HRT and I have little firm areas that have begun to grow beneath my nipples. I'm guessing this is what is commonly referred to as breast buds. Cool. But, holy cats, they are super sensitive and the slightest touch or pressure hurts!
I read all the threads I could on here about this kind of thing before starting HRT, and of course the endo warned me that breast tenderness can occur, but until I experienced it I didn't realize how painful it can be. I really have to be aware of what I am doing and where my nipples are or else I can have good shock of pain if they get bumped or brush up against something.
I guess I can consider it kind of a rite of passage in womanhood.
Yeah, about at that time I moved to use bralettes, to protect developing breast.

Yup, that tends to happen when they get into their growth phase... lol

Also a right of passage into womanhood is access to the feminine care section. Try Lanolin for sore nips, and chaffing against your shirts.
When I started HRT, I was planning to start wearing sports bras for concealment prior to going full-time. I moved up the schedule for them before I had anything worth concealing, when I reached the stage you are at. It made a big difference to my comfort level.
Yes it is fantastic to know you have breast buds but indeed you have be careful as they are sensitive and any pressure is painful.
