Title: Labs question
Post by: Sarah_P on June 28, 2018, 03:23:41 PM
So I pay out of pocket for everything, and I'm wanting to get my labs done elsewhere to reduce my costs. I see a test for estrogen and one for estradiol. Which do I need to get done?

I know to also do testosterone, and I plan on getting potassium checked too. Any others I might need?

Hi Sarah,
I do my labs out of pocket also.  I use PrivateMDlabs.  They have a website and a number of prepackaged test regimens.  There are a few states they cannot work in due to local laws so check that.  Blood is drawn at a Lab Corp facility so there are plenty of locations available.  Needless to say the prices are low.  There offer discounts after the first use.
This is the test I usually order.   Ocassionally my doctor want to see Prolactine or Lipids, so I add those.

Female Hormone Testing Panel contains the following tests:

Estradiol, Serum
Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
Testosterone, Serum (Total Only)
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP)
