Title: Hrt question
Post by: Torilusk on June 29, 2018, 03:37:40 PM
I've been on Spiro and estradiol for a few weeks. I have breast buds forming already. It's pretty painful. I was was wondering how long the pain will last. Do they get big pretty quick? I was actually hoping not to grow any for a while because I live as a guy and would prefer not to have them. If I stop do the buds go away? I got a month supply to see how I like it.

May not be the smartest thing for someone in my position but I always wanted to try it.

It may be in my head but my hair and skin feel much softer than before I started and I feel like I have a more feminine smell.

If you stop they will shrink but will never go away.

Development is fairly slow so you should be ok for a month.

Will the sensitivity and tenderness stay or will it go?

That will grow less after a while.  It's still there but becomes unnoticeable.

Hi, Torilusk!

Welcome to Susan's.

Every person reacts to HRT differently.  Hence the common expression "YMMV" (Your mileage may vary).

Breast tenderness indicates growth, and will typically continue as long as they are growing, which could be two or three years.  Growth and pain tend to come in cycles.  You might find that a sports bra helps with the pain, and it might help with concealment, too.  Some of them are easily mistaken for a tank top if seen through clothes.

The effects on hair, skin and smell might not be your imagination.  THose effects can happen quite quickly after you start HRT.

If you stop, the growth will stop, and there might be a little bit of shrinkage, but your breasts won't go away.
