Title: Boise ID, Eugene OR, Seattle WA, Spokane WA
Post by: Northern Star Girl on July 16, 2018, 01:17:24 PM
To my Forums friends:

I have been sent invitations to several business related conferences late this year.  I can not go to all of them but any one of them would be beneficial to my business...

I am at a loss to know exactly where all of my Forums friends are located within driving distance of these possible locations... it would be nice if I could "consider" choosing a location that would allow me to mix in a little personal time and meeting some of you in person.

There are other locations all around the USA but these are the ones that fit my busy schedule and also the closest and easiest for me to be jumping on a plane heading south from my home.   I have my preference but I first I want to hear from you.

Hugs,
Danielle

   Hi Danielle,

Kendra, Dawn O'Day, and at least one other are up in the Seattle area. Eugene is 100 miles south of me, almost 2 hours. As for Boise and Spokane I cannot help you. I am sure there are others around but they will need to respond for themselves.

Hi Danielle,                   18 July 2018

I used to work for a company in Spokane; spent a fair amount of time there in the 80s and 90s. I have driven to Spokane from Fort Worth; it's a long drive, about two beautiful days traveling through some really beautiful country.

What, nothing for you in Texas? If you're down this way, give me a holler.

Best Always, Love,
Christine

Dear Christine:   Thanks for your reply.... well, there is a conference listed for Houston but the date does not work for me....   shucky darn, it would be nice to meet finally meet you.
The drive from DFW to Houston if I remember correctly... I have done it a few times in the past... is just under 4 hours ... right?
I will keep your location in mind for some future travel that I end up doing.

***OH, by the way, it would be nice if you put up your Avatar Profile picture again... and perhaps post some recent photos???   You have done it in the past, so it would be nice to see photos again.

Hugs, and well wishes as always,
Danielle

Hi Danielle,                         18 July 2018

Sounds like you've been to Tejas; great place. I live quite close to DFW airport. Most of it is located in the city of Grapevine, Texas. I live in Southlake just west of Grapevine, about a 15 minute drive to DFW.

I think you are correct, Houston is about 4 hours south east of Dallas; been a long time since I rode down there. I think the roads have been improved since I last took my horse and buggy down that a way. The buggy fell apart from termites and the horse passed away from old age. I sure miss them, they were a reliable way to travel, albeit slooow.

I think you have my personal info; if you don't PM me.

You sure are looking mighty "Purdy" in your avatars. Bet in real life you are even Purddier.

I'm waiting for my neighbor lady friend to return from vacation so I can have her do a paint job on my face and then take a photo for a new avatar. Just hope her camera can stand the shock.

Best Always, Love,
Christine

Dear Christine.... awe shucks, thank you for your way too kind word regarding my Avatars.

Oh, yes,  I have been all over Texas, and in fact all over the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Europe and many part of the world in my previous employment.  In Texas I had frequent business in El Paso, Lobbock, San Antone, DFW, and Houston.

Yep, I do have your email... we did exchange emails about the time that you went silent... remember??

I will be looking forward to seeing your new photos when you post them.

Hugs,
Danielle

I would definitely come north to have a face to face with you.  Seattle or Eugene are an easy do.

Hugs and smiles, Jess

Hi Danielle,                           19 July 2018

Looks like you and I have walked the same ground at different times together. Every place you mentioned I have either been there and/or have lived there. We may have rubbed elbows in airports and never knew it. I'm willing to bet we may even have mutual friends. I have a childhood friend that has lived most of his life in Alaska; Palmer, Anchorage, Wasilla. He was Sarah Palin's High school English teacher, and he can't even speak English. Go Figure.

We met when we were in first grade. We went to different schools together and met at the North Pole when we were on our class field trips collecting insects for school projects. Oddly enough, we didn't catch many bugs at the pole, but the ones we caught were huge. The mosquitoes were the hugest ones we had ever seen. They were so large that they issued all of us .45 pistols to protect ourselves from them. Fortunately, almost all of us got home safely, except for the ones that refused the guns. All night long we were treated to impromptu fireworks as someone was always protecting themselves from mosquito attacks.

Take care young lady.

Best Always, Love,
Christine

PS:
If you run over my friend, and he survives, tell him to call me; he owes me a call as I was the last one that called when we talked five years ago.
