@anastasialea YES INDEED, you and your dress look great together. It fits you well and looks very good on you...
I see no problem whatsoever with you wearing it and going out ....
It looks more than very suitable to go out in.... it looks lovely.
Thank you for sharing this with us...
Hugs,
Danielle
More than suitable. Really fabulous!!
;D
In my opinion it doesn't look very flattering on you, because it needs to be taken in at the waist (a belt may work) and the hemline makes your hips look too narrow. An A-line dress shape would probably look much better on you.
@Alaskan Danielle @KatieP Thank you :)

@MissyMay2.0 Yes an A-line dress would also look nice. It depends if
@anastasialea feels comfortable showing off more of her figure in her present stage of her transition, how she dresses obviously depends on what events that she is planning to wear it...
I personally like the style and the fit... that is a dress that I would wear for sure.
I guess that since I live in a very conservative town, and I run an accounting business with conservative clientele my mode is usually trying to fly under the radar and not to stand out... anyway, that is all my opinion
To each their own..

Danielle
I think it looks very nice and if I was built different I would consider it for myself. I would prefer it to be just a little longer, but that is my taste. I love dresses and skirts and for the life of me cant see why more dont wear them. Pants, pant suites and shorts are nothing like a dress or skirt. IMHO :)

anastasialea asked (I don't know why you mentioned NC_Rose?)so I chimed in and gave her my honest opinion, and I stated the reasons why I don't feel the dress is working for her; I also provided constructive feedback, but it's all subjective anyway, because it's just a matter of preference.
@MissyMay2.0 .... You are correct, thanks for catching my error.... I don't know why I mentioned the wrong member either.
I fixed my mistake in my posting and revised my reference to
@anastasialea I guess that I should have had more coffee this morning. ;) I seem to be making a lot of mistakes lately,

...everyone, please forgive me. I would like to blame it on the hormones but I am certain that is not the cause.
Hey, no worries, your opinion about the dress and your comments are very appropriate...
... and as you stated,
"it's just a matter of preference."It is always good to consider all opinions and to try to come up with a consensus.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.... and again, thank you for correcting me... I am always open to that.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle
I think it looks great...yes there are some areas that could do with some tailoring but as @AlaskanDanielle noted it depends on how much of the curves you want to show. I think it looks great regardless The issue we all have is getting our bodies somewhere near a shape that we can hang clothes like these, to help us look good.
Was there something in particular you were unsure about that maybe we can address for you?
Take care
Liz
Go for it! You look amazing.
You wear what you want and what makes you feel good. Forget everyone else and some fashion magazine advices. Just drives you crazy...
And yes, it looks good on you and I would wear it also!

We all want positive reinforcement. Experiment a little. See what kind of feedback you get when you go out.
But, if you want to know, it is very complicated. Good dressing and positive interactions makes people confident. But your personality and status affects people's perceptions of what you wear. At work, I have a reputation for doing amazing work, so edgier fashion better matches people's perception of what I should look like. And, as a practical matter, with my body size and shape, blending in as a guy is totally impossible.

It should be more than 'suitable' here in my country. In the U.S., I already saw all kinds of fashion (e.g., http://www.peopleofwalmart.com ).
Regarding fashionableness, it would depend on very subjective cultural contexts. For example, most of my friends prefer my wearing long dress, but I like short, miniskirt. Men do not like my wearing high heels, as I look too tall. In big cities here, many girls wear high heels, even in beaches. But as I have observed, few women wear high heels in rural areas of the U.S.
Most women wear very conservatively in my country, but you still can see beautiful women with bold fashion, too.

@barbie Dear Barbie: I had to laugh out loud when I saw that you had referenced the "People of Walmart" site. If I lived anywhere near a Walmart, it would be a place to go for entertainment and people watching for sure.
You are very correct with what you stated about fashionableness (I am not sure that is even a word, my spell checker doesn't think so, but it but it is clear to me what you meant.)
Different areas of the world, of our countries and of our towns that we live, can call for different fashion choices. Even in my small remote and conservative town I will wear heels from time to time, especially at my work... I am only 5 ft 4 inches tall so I can freely wear the highest heels that I desire.
You are also right about in areas like mine that there are very few opportunities to wear heels and dress up in fantastic clothes... very few formal places to go here. I always like taking my occasional trips to a large city so I can take the opportunity to dress up. Usually here in the winter it is heavy coats, hats, gloves, boots, etc... and in the summer here very casual dress is the norm.
Thanks for posting your thoughts.... and I am still laughing about your reference to WalMart fashion!!! :) ;D :D
Hugs,
Danielle
Holy shot yes!!!! You look beautiful!
You look great, I would imagine in anything [emoji4]
I don't think it's too long at all! It's close to the length I wear lol
If anything, I would unbutton the sleeves and fold/roll those up a bit but that's just for comfort in my case [emoji4]

I think it looks fine. Maybe a belt? But definitely lose the socks girl, in favor of maybe sandals, flats or even pumps? The better it makes you feel, the more confident you'll be.
Just as important as how you look is how you move. There are distinct differences in the way that men and women walk and sit down. You may want to take small steps when you are just starting out.
I agree with Donica on the socks. The dress is semi-fancy, the socks are semi-not (i.e. they're nice individually but maybe not in combination).
Addressing earlier comments--I know I'm in the minority, but I love tall girls in heels, and I don't mind wearing them myself, in spite of my height. I am aware that I look intimidating in heels, and I enjoy that feeling.
Well, I would not hesitate to wear that cute dress anywhere except very formal events. Would be perfect for the office on hot summer days, and warm evenings out on the town.

Danielle,
Actually I always stop at any Wal-mart store whenever I visit the U.S. The clothes and other fashion items there are endurable and affordable. As I like clothes for teens, Walmart is the best place for me. Moreover, the size and length of clothes perfectly fits my body and height (here in my country, most clothes for women are small for me).

@barbie Dear Barbie:
Yes, the "Juniors" section at WalMart does indeed have very affordable up to date fashionable clothing that seems to fit nicely. The regular women's section also has a great selection including bras, sports bras, panties, leggings, summer dresses, etc.... again at very affordable prices. I can only get to a WalMart only a few times a year, perhaps 3 or 4 ..... so I tend to go "wild" and shop till I drop.
Other stores here that I really like are Kohl's and JCPenny, their store brands are also quite affordable.
Thanks for your reply comment.
Hugs,
Danielle
I think both the dress and you in it are beautiful. The only thing I would say is accessorize girl! A thin belt and some modest jewelry and you're golden! <3 .02 given. :)
I agree with everyone else. That dress is a good fit for you. Its suitable for almost anything or anyplace (with the right accessories). Wear it!
