Hello everyone my name is Krista. I am 52yo TG. I have for a long time felt alot of stress, I feel I am too masculine. I have been in therapy for awhile now. I went to a transgender specialist last week and she is starting me on HRT. The only problem is I have to wait to see my new General Practitioner next week for a complete physical and blood work for a Testosterone baseline. I have the prescriptions for hormones but She wants me to wait till after she gets my results before I start.
I was wondering once I get my blood work done can't I start then instead of waiting for the results which could be another few days?
I really like this forum and I hope to be a part of this for a long time to come. I would love to share my journey with you all.
Krista

One of those is that giving medical advice is off-limits on public posts. I would suggest that you just follow your doctor's advice in that regard. I understand the excitement and desire to 'get started,' but, when it comes right down to it, it's just a few more days, right?
You have waited a long time, another few days is not likely to make a major difference. HUGS.
As I said, welcome and enjoy yourself.

hello.
I don't know anything about any chemical aspects of anything, so can't help you there.
But I can wish you a happy new year and welcome you to the forum.
Hope you find whatever you're looking for. :)
Welcome to Susan's, Krista!
I can understand your being anxious to start on HRT but I must agree with the others that it is always best to follow your physician's advice. A few more days' wait might feel longer than it really is but it's the safe thing to do.
I am 56, F to F transsexual and I started on HRT when I was 51. You have company in here.

Welcome to susans place Krista & happy new year :) :) :)
Hey,
Welcome to the boards. I can understand your wanting to get started, but you really should follow your doctor's advice. The doctor is your ally in all of this and not breaking trust is important...
Peace and love,
