Title: Information wanted
Post by: bdw61 on July 23, 2018, 06:18:15 PM
I'm 57, awaiting a call from the East Mississauga Family Health Center in Ontario, Canada. They suggested that it would be in early August. I feel as though I don't have enough information.
What do I need to know right away?

@bdw61
Oh, and another thing bdw61  ... in my effort to help find answers to your question, you first need to let more members here on the Forums know of your arrival and therefore you will receive more involvement in sharing information of interest to you ...
...and other like-minded  members reading it will be more apt to share their thoughts with you and will help to answer your questions.

If you would, please go to the  Introductions Forum (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,8.0.html)  to tell the members about yourself!
It would be good if you would re-state your question there.

Again, Welcome to Susan's Place,
Danielle

Hi Bdw61, Welcome to Susan's Place!
I'm assuming that this is in reference to gender care.
If this is your first appt. with a doctor or therapist, it may be that information will be gathered and a plan of treatment can be worked up afterwards when things are clearer.
You may want to go the route of seeing a gender therapist to help you learn more about who you are, and the path to take to get you there.
There is informed consent in some places if you are clear with your objectives, but it seems to me you are still working it out.

I see the maiden of the north @Alaskan Danielle has greeted you, make use of the links she gave you, they are quite handy in navigating the site.

Hugs and smiles. Jessica
