I have read that testosterone produces estrogen. What would be the result of combining Androgel with estrogen supplements?
Idk fam
Ima gonna find someone who does
I would probably post this one in the Hormone Therapy section, but in answer to your question... Yes and no. Provided you aren't zinc deficient, then the answer is "No it will not create Estrogen". If you are zinc deficent, have enough of the enzymes produced naturally, and the stars align.. then its a foggy maybe. I would doubt that the estrogen produced would be any significant level. I would suspect that raising T levels from androgel would combat any benefit from an estrogen suppliment, and could cause some health issues. Usually Estrogen is used to supress testosterone, raising testosterone sounds counterproductive. Testosterone is what inhibits males from developing breasts, because even males produce small amounts of estrogen naturally.

Hi New Girl,
Under some circumstances, excess Testosterone converts to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and contributes to male pattern baldness.
If you are planning to alter your body's hormone balance, time to get professional medical guidance and monitoring. ;)

There is an enzyme called aromatase, which is plentiful in fat cells. It can convert testosterone to estradiol, the most potent of the 3 estrogens. The reverse, conversion of estradiol to testosterone, is not possible.
I'm not sure what you mean by estrogen supplements. If you are speaking of herbal things that are not actual estrogen, I have no expertise there.
