I had GRS or SRS with Dr. Christine McGinn on July 17 2018. The surgery went okay, nothing I didn't expect happened except it was far less painful than it was said out to be. I'm on #2 dialator and when I first dialated, I thought in my head how dramatic people are because I pretty much hyped myself that this would be the most painful thing ever. Dr. Christine McGinn wasn't my favorite surgeon when it comes to bed side manner and her ability to make things comfortable for a scared 22 year old lol as other surgeons have in the past. (could be her military background, idk I'm not judging) but she gets the job done & I'm hoping everything works out in the future with my surgery. You'll hear from me ;)
Anyways, to all my post op sisters,
I've had the biggest problem with the appearance of my clitoris. I've talked to several ladies at my stage of post operative surgery and they all seem to not see it yet or feel it. However, mine is literally overly exposed? To the point where it looks scary and is almost irritating when I dialate. It's only when I close my legs it's not out obviously but the majority of the time you spend after waking up from surgery is on your back with your legs open in a frog leg position.
If anyone has questions for me I'll gladly answer :-*
I didn't have a similar problem but at this stage of the recovery it could be swelling. Give it several months before you judge the final results.
That sounds like the kind of thing you could fix with a revision if is persists.
Update: Everything is going good. I'm a cam model and my vagina is completely in clockable unless there's a big old light flashing on my vagina. I would totally show pictures but I don't know the rules on this forum. I was posting pics in an instagram group chat and all the girls were telling me how dysphoric & jealous they were. Thank you Dr. Christine McGinn! You're mean but hype confirmed lol!

Great to hear your surgery and recovery is going well! When I had mine, first month or two I wasn't expecting much visually as there is so much to heal. By the third month I thought things looked really nice but after a labiaplasty last month (second stage of GCS) it's even better although still healing again.

Hi and congratulations.
She does the clitoplasty in the office I think at month 3 or 6. I had mine in the office and again at 1.5 years when I had my revision surgery. When I had my revision surgery the clitoplasty was extensive but then I had my urethra moved quite a distance too. I have my whole glands penis, that is another story. My sensation is awesome and the nerve bundle is very sensitive. Only a little bit of my clitoris is visible now.
Nerves are cut with GCS so there is little pain for dilation at first. That is why she wants 5 dilations and progress. When I was allowed to dilate I advanced to orange quite quickly. I had about 3 inches of depth (I think) post op and went to 4.5 inches. Then back to 3.5 after revision surgery and back to 4 inches now. That does not include the labia major and depth to the non-visible dot. So you can add an inch or two to the skin level.
Dr. McGinn is direct and no BS. Do not expect her to pull any punches either. I do not think any other surgeon could have helped me. September will be my 19th GCS visit at Papillion.
