I hope I have posted this in the right place.
I have had this error several times and have up until now not been able to find a work around and had to ditch the post and start again with out a clue as to why. However I have recently discovered the following solution

If you have a look at the end of the quoted sentence you will see an emoji....I am not sure why but that particular emoji set causes this error. So in this case you can fix it by simply removing the smiley face from the quoted txt. In the event the poster has posted multiple emoji's then each one may have to be removed. Hope this helps, I know how it used to frustrate me.

I have not seen this, what is your emoji set you were using? Is it an Australian version with Kangas, Roos and those fuzzy wannabe bears?

LOL no its no my set of emoji's that gives the issues its actually Drexy's in the first message...so who knows maybe it is LOL
i see it from time to time when I need to edit another members post. It seems to be cause by emojis that are not a part of the standard Susan's set. You can use them when you make the initial post but modifying and it appears quoting them is a problem. I normally remove the emoji and go on with my work. It seems some emojis tell simple machines that they are a complex command and it messes up the posting process. I never reported it because it's not really worth the trouble of chasing down a fix.
Thanks Dena...this has happened to me quite a few time because Drexy and I PM quite often. It was pure luck that I worked out how to overcome this error. I just found it so frustrating to spend a heap of time writing a reply only to find you cannot post it. I could find no clue as to what the issue was. Anyway a simple work around and all is sorted.

Yes, I've had this same error. I get it if I use my computer's emojis instead of the website's palette. This is only when going through a web browser. I can use the computers emojis through Tapatalk (I have other problems with Tapatalk, but that ain't one of them).
