Title: Hair Growth While on Estrogen & Spiro
Post by: Arianna Valentine on August 04, 2018, 03:21:41 AM
So what I'm curious about is there any hair growth reduction while on estrogen & spironolactone combo also what areas generally have reduced or no hair growth after a certain amount of time?

I would say "absolutely " your genetic differences may differ, buy I bought a IPL hair  inhibiter and an epilator, but I only use the epi about once  month if I remember.  I was never super hairy though.

Hi Arianna,
There is a good chance 6months of HRT will eliminate most body hair. I personally found after 6 months on HRT get everything waxed. After that regrowth is virtually non-existent. I found with a naturally hairy chest & back this method worked. Also I found any sign of chest hair meant HRT levels needed checking. HRT seems to stop body hair in its tracks.
Keep in mind this is a cyproterone experience which is also used to kill body hair in genetic females.
All the best, Kirsten.

I never had much body hair to begin with.  I had maybe 2 dozen hairs on my chest, for example.  HRT has pretty much eliminated that.  I have a handfull of hairs left around my areolae, but they are pale and thin and almost invisible.  Leg hair is still there, but much lighter and less dense.  If I don't shave them, it just looks like a woman who doesn't shave her legs, not masculine at all.

I used to have a very light version of male pubic hair: that strip of hair that runs up towards the belly button.  It totally disappeared.

Hair on my head has not re-grown, but the rate of loss has slowed considerably.

Hello Arianna

I will be 6 months HRT in a few days time and I have been very pleased with Body Hair Reduction.

I never had much hair on my legs or arms and the remainder has cleared. I have little chest hair but like Kathy I have some hairs around my areolae. Sadly I have some BH on my back needing laser.

BH should greatly reduce and head hair should no longer reduce but remain the same with a small possibility of regrowth.

Hugs

Pamela

That sounds like a good plan. I'm gonna do this, although I do not have much body hair.

I lost my leg hair from the knee down after about a year. I was never very furry, so I can't speak to any other body hair.

I am half Indian but got the full tick black body hair, I have no more then a cis white female after HRT. Sorry to use race but its to put into perspective, HRT does magic to no facial hair.

Well I have noticed that I've been having my leg hair grow a lot slower cuz I shaved like 3 or 4 days ago and have not seen much gross also I've never really been very hairy so I've never had to worry about that but facial hair is still growing like a normal guys would

My facial hair didnt thin about if I shave it takes up to 5 times longer to grow now I have been on HRT a long time and so I hope my body does these things. Though I feel this is hard to judge as I just stopped shaving at a point because I got mam'd in public a ton with people I would not want to know I am trans.

Hey GF
Thanks for throwing this question out there and for everyone's wonderful responses. As you know I'm just one month behind you and l just started to feel my skin getting smoother and I feel absolutely WONDERFUL for the very first time to be comfortable in it.
Thanks sweetheart and everyone else for their feelings on this.

love you all, Tatiana
