Title: Interesting milestone today
Post by: AnamethatstartswithE on August 05, 2018, 01:07:19 PM
So I was out running this morning, and part of my course goes through a wooded trail that is quite popular, so there were a lot of other people there. During my run it became clear that men are definitely staring at me a lot, and I'm pretty sure they're not clocking me. The looks on their faces are definitely leers. Some of it doesn't make any sense, at least once it seemed like this one guy was taking a really long time to read my T-shirt, even though it is one word in big letters, then I realized what was going on. The worst is when I wear sunglasses, because I guess they don't realize I see them doing it.

So the milestone is that I no longer find this behavior affirming of my gender, I now just find it creepy. I understand that this is part of the whole experience, and I will age out of it sooner rather than later, but it is creepy AF.

Something for you ladies to look forward to.

I will take a different perspective on this. I am good if guys look as long as they respect my space. I had two guys staring at my boobs at the beach this past week and it made me feel good. There was no intellectual interaction  as in having a conversation and they are looking at boobs instead of my face. I get that being weird and disrespectful. We all talk about people being beautiful. If someone gets pleasure out of looking at this body I got no problem with it. Hey I have certainly checked out girls and guys myself. There are beautiful bodies of all kinds, I wish we celebrated beauty more instead of all of us being consumed with self criticism. Of course, that is not what you were really talking about. lol
