Title: One experience on low-dose E - so far
Post by: SaraDanielle on August 10, 2018, 02:29:19 PM
Just a few different observations in case anyone is interested, as I know most people are looking for full transition, but I am not at this point.

I started the lowest available Estrogen patch dose 3 months ago.  Wanted to maintain sexual performance with wife.

I only noticed two physical changes within the first few weeks:

1) Orgasms feel different
2) Skin changes are different.
The other change I noticed was that the dysphoria was reduced - in fact the whole gender thing didn't seem to be much of a issue to think about as time went on.  Also, I felt a lot less anger day to day.  Seemed like a good solution.

Well recently been struggling with depression.  Went for my 3 month check-up and found both E and T levels are well below normal ranges.   Doubled my E dose.  Still below maintenance transition.

Now at this dose libido does seem to be decreasing.  And I seem to care less and less about this gender dysphoia.  I don't know if this will be maintainable or not.  But I guess I'll see.  I'm a bit nervous I will be forced to choose a more definitive path.

Take care,
Sarah

There is no doubt Sarah -estrogen does feel good! I had my doctor offer me the option of maintaining full E dose without androgen blocker for the purpose of maintaining sexual function. My wife doesn't want sex and I want max feminization so transition dose was maintained. I assume your prescription doesn't have androgen blocker.
Kind regards, Kirsten.
