Title: Hello, from wild windy wyoming
Post by: Kymmie Lorain on August 31, 2018, 10:26:17 AM
Just joined this site. have been on a couple of sites. I'm 53, disabled Air Force vet, married almost 33 years. 3 sons, 2 Grandsons and a granddaughter due in a week.

Yesterday I came out to my VA councilor as trans. I couldn't feel better about it. Come to find out she was on the planning board for the pride fest in San Fran for several years. Being trans gender isn't her specialty she introduced me to another Dr who is. I will be making an appointment with her. Hopefully today.

But the bigger problem is telling the wife. time will tell.

Hugs,
Kymmie

Hi Kymmie,

I'm new here too, new to everything, at the same stage as you are and just wanted to say hi. Your post caught my eye because I did my undergrad in Laramie. That is a beautiful state with so many wondrous places to visit.

There is a lot of support out there for girls like us. Not like when we were younger. I imagine you have it more difficult than I, though, with children and everything. I hope your appointment with the dr goes well! Just be you and take the time that you need for each step, and be positive :)

Best, Anita
