Title: Finding Kelly
Post by: KellyMarieinAZ on September 05, 2018, 08:55:33 PM
Considering the momentum I've recently been experiencing toward transition, I wanted to start a thread documenting my progress and other goings on.

Although today isn't exactly day one of my progress, I believe it was the first of many powerful days in the process. The fact that I went to my therapy session fully dressed is telling on how committed I feel to this process.

I know that there will be ebbs and flows, mountains and valleys, easy driving and train wrecks, along the way. For today, I am choosing to cherish the positives and look forward with the utmost optimism toward a full and satisfying future as I was meant to be.

Although I wasn't born with the stereotypical genetics, body, or looks, I am a woman in my heart and soul. Nobody can take that away from me.

Love,
Kelly

Since I love this look and smile, I am posting my first official picture of my journey.

@KellyMarieinAZ
Dear Kelly:
This is terrific that you are starting your personal transition thread.  I will be nice for you to have your journey documented all in one place so you can review your own progress and your thread readers and followers can follow along with you...   and we can rejoice with you when things are going well, and when things are not going so well we can support you with our thoughts and words of encouragement.

Of course your postings on the other various threads here on the Forums will "need" your appropriate and timely comments as well.

I might also suggest that you keep a personal pen and paper journal, complete with doodling, that you might perhaps write even more personal details in it for your own use and review anytime that you want, even years later.

Again Kelly, this is great news.   I am looking forward to following your progress as you feel free to post it.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle

Hey Kelly!
It's great :D You know, it's probably not day one of your progress because you started it before. Transition is not just HRT and surgery. You went to therapis in "Kelly-mod", make this awesome photo - it's progress too. I'd say first step is realisation of what you need.
