Like without any swelling etc.
By 6 months I would say it was about 80 to 90 % good. She continued to evolve.
6-12 months is the generally accepted recovery period, it depends on the individual.
Almost 9 weeks post-op and mine looks much better, but still a little swollen and the Labia needs to develop around my vaginal opening. Coming along quite well though, but I will wait at least 6 months to really see how mine will look. Hoping I do not need any revision surgery. Also I am horny as hell, but intercourse is still just a dream for me! Pictures of my results are on my website
Another question- how long after SRS is normal to resume HRT?
That's up to each surgeon or primary nurse. I was able to resume HRT 3 days after GCS/SRS.

Thank you Kendra.
I'm going with Suporn in January and the website says HRT must be paused 4 weeks prior to surgery... I can feel the hot flashes coming.
I think Suporn usually lets women restart hrt shortly after getting out of hospital. I think it's in that pdf a patient wrote.

So that's at least 5 weeks without HRT. :/

Why 5 weeks? According to the surgery checklist document on Suporn's site
"Stop oral HR, gels and patches 7 days before you leave. Time last injectable HRT to have expired by 7 days before you travel". Seems more like 3 weeks.

Oh. On another part it says 4 weeks. I'll go with that then.
I had to stop 6 weeks before. It didnt do me any change tbh, apart from hot flushes. But tgyey are over now. 7 more days till surgery. And then the nurse said if i can stay off another 4 weeks it would be great. They recommend 2 at least but the longer the better. I guess giving my body a rest of everything is good. Especially after surgery. All the chemicals they pump in me then aswell. 4 weeks will be good to clear the system. Let my body focus on healing. Andvthen start on hormones again.
But whatever you do. Good luck ;) x
5months post op, currently swelling is not pretty much, but I expect that there is still some and will probably take another 3 to 4 months.
Hormones I resume back about a week later. The first 4 Days after surgery having no chance to take as well since I have to stay 'bedridden' under their care with no chance of taking any other medication.

Well the body needs a sex hormone regardless of whether it's healing etc. It's a hindrance not to have it. Sex hormones are important to the body in multiple ways, it's not just physical/aesthetic feminisation that oestrogen contributes to. I think the shorter time the better, but I understand the point to stop as a precaution for blood clots.
