Title: Any info on UCLA Gender Health Center appreciated.
Post by: JandJ on September 10, 2018, 06:07:19 PM
I was able to get a consultation at UCLA for lower surgery !!  But, now I can find absolutely nothing about the UCLA Gender Health Center or their surgeon Dr. Ng!  Other than what is on their website, I can find very little information about either.  I would think that this is a pretty big place?  I will be flying in for this appointment, so it would put my mind at ease some to learn something about where I am headed.

Any info much appreciated.

You might want to look at the Gender Correction Surgery (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,50.0.html). Yes I know it's for MTF members but I think that name has been mentioned a few times. It's not going to answer all your questions but it might answer a few.

Thank you @Dena!  At lease that is a start!  I have found absolutely nothing else about UCLA or Dr. Ng.  I reached out to that poster - thanks again.

I assume this is Gladys Ng? There's next to nothing posted about her, so I can only assume she's very inexperienced this this field. There's a lot of new surgeons popping up lately. Given that there are bad surgeon mixed in with the good, and the lack of experience, I think it would be quite risky to go with her. Someone's going to though.

For what its worth, she's in a YouTube video on Male Urinary Incontinence
