Title: Hi everyone
Post by: Latebloomer83 on September 12, 2018, 04:42:37 PM
Hi everyone, You can call me by my nick latebloomer. Im 35 this year. Have come across many transgender people and have been thinking of transitioning myself. By the way, I'm from singapore. I don't think I'll get support from my Friend and family. Feeling lost at this point. Hope to get some guidance here.

Dear Latebloomer:
Thank you for following my suggestion in the other thread titled "HRT" that I gave you my Welcome Message to you to come here to the Introductions Forum to let many more members here know that you have arrived and become a member of Susan's Place.

Rest assured the issues that you stated in your posting are shared by many other transitioners.  I am certain that you will get some responses that will answer concerns and questions that you may have.  I might suggest that you also take some time to read the many various threads throughout the Forums... feel free to enter into sharing and discussions with other like-minded members that may have similar interests and questions as you.

Please be certain to look over the important informational LINKS that I had included in my Welcome Message.  Most questions about the Forums here will be answered in those LINKS, especially the LINKS in RED.

Best Wishes... and again, Welcome to Susan's Place.
Danielle

Hey Latebloomer :)
Hope you don't think that transition in your age is late because in this topic (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,240817.0.html) you already received few answer :)

And what kind of guidance do you want? I assume it's about your family and friends. If so, then basically you'll never know what they exactly think or can do about it until you talk to them. Supportive ones can turn against it and vice versa. But before bring such topic be sure you'll be safe if things goes bad. Perhaps, family therapist with TG experience can help. And remember that though you can lose everyone you can find new ones, @RobynD explained it in this post (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,240370.msg2170006.html#msg2170006) (actually, all topic about family and you can find it interesting for yourself).

Anyway welcome here :) Have fun :)

Hi Latebloomer! I'm 43 and I am also in the very early stages, not yet started any kind of transition... beyond accepting myself for me and some behavioral changes (which is really just finally me being me). So, you are not at all alone and not to late! I have never been to Singapore so I can't speak on guidance on that front. What is it that you are feeling lost about precisely?

I glad you found our dear Northern Star*Girl @Alaskan Danielle suggestion worthy, she is such a peach.

As far as latebloomer... I started hrt when I was 61, but if you count when I first had indications, I started when I was 16.  You're still young in that respect.
