no... the woman cut it like a woman cos i dont pass.

And charged me beyond what i intended to pay because it was the only place open.

And i think it's crap that girls pay more for a cut than guys.

I haven't even looked at it since i walked out of the place. I dont want to. When i've calmed down and feel better, then i'll see what i can do with it and i'll prob end up liking it. Just not now.

It just really kills your confidence when all you wana do is pass and passing appears to be too hard to do, even when you go get that cut to help you pass more and they cut it like a woman instead. It just feels like my confidence shattered and the goal of getting to end just moved further away than what it already was.

haircuts are always pretty traumatic anyway, i guess you can wait and see what it becomes.

it's the same every time i get a new haircut - it just makes me angry to see the end result.

I guess one day i'll get it right

I'm just annoyed right now cos i dont feel sexy. And i need to feel sexy. And i'm sick of it being blond. I'm beginning to really hate blond.

I had the same problem when I was getting my eyebrows shaped, she was doing a mens style brow, I wanted a womans, and I didn't know the difference.  Luckily I had a female friend who stopped her and corrected her. The corrected brow version is shown in my picture to the left actually :)

What you have to do is say "NO" then tell her you want a mens cut, not a womans version of a mens cut, a actual mens hair cut. I hope it goes better in the future for you.

Do not be afraid to stop them and say no, this is actually what I want.

I stopped going to the hair dressers because all they would do is cut it in a womans hair style. Even when I said specifically I wanted a males cut.. so meh.. I brought some hair clippers and done the thing myself well ususally my partner cuts it every week.. (hair is EXTREMLY thick) At least with this.. you get what you want!

Just a tip Wishy!

Renate - i dont think there's any difference really, and i see a lot of guys these days with both ears pierced too. You could just get them pierced and then buy your own earings

Jaston - i dont really know anyone who can cut hair  :( And thats just a bummer!

yes.
I agree.
I used to clip it myself.
Looked much nicer.

I'm sorry it didn't turn out OK.
I think Susan had some good advice.

As far as fixing it goes: You're a guy: it shouldn't look to pretty.

Throw some gel in it and mess it up with your hands and it ought to fix any girlyness they may have done.
Also: Guys usually have shorter or non-existant bangs.
I don't know if that's an issue, but it might help.

I know what you mean Wishy, you just can't trust them!  I had the same problem whenever I got a haircut... That's why I do it myself now! :D plus if I mess up there is noone to blame but myself^_^(that doesn't usually happen anymore though) Seriously, if you practice, you'll get better.  You want go for the anime look right?

Try the barber shop next time, Jon. They tend to do guy's haircuts more, so you'd have a better chance of them cutting it in a more masculine fashion. I went to one just the other day, told them how I wanted it cut, and was very satisfied with the results.

The problem with barber shops is that can't do more stylish male haircuts.
There are unisex chains that exist; not the cheapest way, but you may get a good haircut.

I don't get how its not possible to get a good haircut if you take a photo with you, Wishy.

I agree with Keira. I like to bring a picture with me. Last time I didn't have a picture, they sent me home looking like an eight year old Asian girl, and I have blonde hair.

Wells, my advice won't help since you're in the UK, but I went to Supercuts today, a US chain, thinking I'd probably get a bad haircut, which they're notorious for, but I actually walked out with about the best cut I've had in years. Fifteen bucks. The hairdresser was great, and when I told him my name was Sebastien he just assumed I was a dude, and treated me as such. Barber shops are good, too. Usually if you take them a picture of how you want your hair done, they can emulate it pretty well.

oh, and btw... as to the earring issue, I have 4 piercings in my ears... both lobes are pierced, and then I have 2 cartilage piercings higher on my left ear. Doesn't seem to affect my passing ability.

i think you should increase the ginger population.

Judging by your videos, I'd say your girth has increased the ginger population enough.

Nope neither do I. My partner usually does it with a head trimmer, if you want short hair its easy because you cant usually get much wrong there. My family (dad, sister) other wise do it. I brought a pair of thinning out sissors and hair cutting sissors from boots for like £7 and they do well also you could get a haircutters for £10 from boots aswell.
Look if your not to fussy over hair and you want a shorter mans style then cut your hair to the length you want (most hair dressers dont like cutting short hair on 'women') then go to a barbers and get it actually styled.
I would do it for you mate but you live to far away!

Jay
