Title: Inclusivity challenge
Post by: HappyMoni on September 29, 2018, 08:55:19 PM
I noticed that Ms. Laurie put out a challenge to raise money for the site, and I am so excited with how everyone responded. Give yourselves a hand. (The crowd goes wild!) Well, please don't tell her I said this, but this kind of sparked an idea in my head that I thought might be nice. It occurred to me that it could be kind of cool if everyone picked out someone who they don't usually chat with and say a neighborly hello to them. I'm not trying to encourage unwanted PM's of course, but you may have seen someone, have appreciated their posts, or maybe watched them struggling and just a kind word to them might make them and you feel better. It doesn't have to be some long conversation.
I did this today before even thinking of this thread. I reached out to someone who I've seen post many times and just appreciated their thoughts. This person is so nice and we had never spoken directly. It made me feel like I waved to a nice neighbor. Anyway, if you feel it, think about doing it.

 Ms Moni,

I believe that is a wonderful idea. I almost can't believe you came up with it. Come on Monica, come clean. It was Ann's idea wasn't it? Well, whomever's idea it was, it is a good one. I believe I will take that challenge.

Hugs,
  Laurie
