So I googling and came across an lgbt helpline so I thought I'd give them a call. The person on the end of the phone who actually heard everything I had to say unedited. He asked me to paint him a picture of what I want my life to be from the way I look and dress to preserving my current relationship. He also asked was dressing up enough.
Basically I told him I don't like dressing up because I look like a boy in a dress. The panties I'm cool with I think they look ok but dressing up in my current physical state doesn't work. However I am compelled to check every time my girlfriend goes out I go through her waredrobe and pick out dresses. I look awful every time. I even cut my face out of the mirror pose.
He gave me lots of supporting information including where to get tips on looking good in clothes etc. I've not put my iPad down since. So much to digest and learn. It's gonna take me a while before I can attend the groups that are dotted around my town. My gp app has been made for two weeks time which gives me a lot of time to prepare and make decisions

It great that you've found such a useful help line. Hopefully you will find the courage to join the local support groups.

I might do that and take some pics see how it looks. My girlfriend insists on a hairy body and face. She's ok with the panties as long as I stay manly so I'm not holding my breath for a good photo shoot.
