Hey all, my name is Kim (She/Her).
I stumbled over this website recently when researching information on my laser hair removal treatments. I'm 30 and came out roughly 3 years ago. I've been on HRT for over 2 years now and am pursuing some options for the future. This road has been very rough and I'm lucky to still be alive to continue venturing down it. Now I'm at the point where I'm attempting to get a name change along with my gender switched on official documentation, which my clinic is helping me with. But there are some other things I'm having difficulty gathering info on or achieving on my own. I'm sure I'll be posting questions and browsing through the overwhelming layers on the forums for info too.
Right now I'm struggling with my current laser tech to remove my facial hair, we've made some good progress but I'm starting to worry she doesn't really know what she is doing. I'm getting a great deal at $40 per session but am starting to think there is a reason for the extremely low price.
Another goal I'm working on is the name change and gender swap on my ID/BC. Which I'm receiving help through my clinic on. Hopefully that all goes smoothly and they can help me with the costs.
My future goals are to begin gathering information on doctors, insurance plans, and financing affirmation surgeries. I'm very poor, working usually for 7.25-8.00$/hourly, but hopefully I can improve on this. Any advice or direction here is desperately needed. I don't even know which doctors to begin looking at and no one I ask RL offers up any answers.
So that's where I'm at now. I'm at that awkward stage in my transition, being stuck in the middle, where people are really confused by whether I'm male or female. Hoping to meet some people who are in a similar situation and maybe some who can help me with some professional advice.

Hey Kim!
Nice to meet you :) I answered your question about second and middle name, and also glad to greet you here ;)
I'm struggling to get better job right now too. Though here where I am things might be cheaper but I believe I can still consider myself poor with ~2.5$ per hour lol. I think I'll try to learn Python and maybe I'll greatly improve my situation in few years, but for now I need something temporary. I wish luck to both of us ;)
Welcome to Susans :)
