Hi all so I am Stephanie, spelt my name wrong when I signed up lol. Anyway so I have spent my life pretty much hiding, scared and ashamed of who I am. Never understanding why I felt so different, so unhappy. I worked it out when the internet came along pretty much around the age of 30. I had a young child and a beautiful partner so I stayed in the closet thinking I might remain there forever. After many melt downs at the age of 40 I started to really struggle with life this was a terrible dark time in my life but still I sat on the fence worried about my family scared to admit I was transgender, scared of being myself. Fast forward to 45 I have a stable income and life yet this was the lowest point in my life, I had no choice now it became life or death I mustered up the courage and went to my doctor. She was fantastic put me in therapy and prescribed a low dose of HRT. What was the lowest point became a turning point for me. Now at 48 I am fully out this year have been on a full dose of HRT for 2.5 years and have never felt better. My son is fantastic and very accepting he is 19 and my partner of 21 years is trying so hard we are working through everything it's no bed of roses but she is open to me changing and has progressed a lot. My work are great very supportive because of where I work my legal gender change has to be completed before I am able to go to work as myself. I have booked leave from 2nd Feb to the 8th Mar 2019 when I will return to work as Steph after having FFS in Argentina with Dr Rossi I posted this in the facial feminization surgery forum. I am also have BA done while I am there. So here I am at 48 years old finally making ground finally starting to feel relaxed and comfortable with my identity, finally starting to love who I am. This is my story cut short. Yes I have suffered years of silence, depression and anxiety but here I am still and I plan on fully embracing who I am with my head held high, proud to be myself. xx

@Alice V @Stephane "Hope you'll make few new friends here" :)I am very certain that what
Alice V meant to state was....
"Hope you'll make
a few new friends here"
or better yet: "Hope you'll make
lots of new friends here"
English is not the first language of
Alice V but she speaks much better Russian than I do and frankly her English is very, very good.
Hugs to both of you,
Danielle
