Hey Ladies,
So I started my first visit with a Gender therapist this past Monday and today after my first visit with an endocrinologist I was started on HRT!!! I was put on spironolactone and estradiol. I'm 36 yo but am so excited I don't know what to do with myself lol. I know it varies but I was curious if anyone's experiences with HRT ie; body changes, mood, and length of time it took to first see changes. I look forward to hearing from anyone who may have some insight.

Congratulations on starting hormones if you want I've kept a somewhat updated Adventure post going from one month to the latest entry at 6 months on the site so you can check those out and give you maybe some idea my doses little different than yours but feel free to take a look at my post and I'll give you some idea what to expect by the way yes mood swings are crazy they are nuts but it still feels so good and congratulations again

Congratulations on this huge milestone in your life.
Everyone's reactions a little different but with me I was in a euthoric haze after about 3 weeks from starting.
The very first sensation I felt was OMG every little bit of my skin from my toe to my earlobe was noticeably smoother.
Then the Mental effects kicked in and were very strong I could hardly sit still I had so much energy and optimism for the future I was literally bouncing off the walls for a few days.
So be patient and hang on tight for the ride you're going to love it.
May all your transitional hopes and dreams come to your new reality.

Thank you so much for the kind words Tatiana and yaaaaay I can't wait for the changes to take effect, I know it may take months and possibly a couple of years but just knowing that I have finally begun my life is super rewarding. Thanks again for the info and the kindness 💁🏻♀️

In terms of your question about changes and progress, just to let you know there is a Board called Hormone Replacement Therapy in which there are many threads concerning changes both emotional and physical. Of course you may wish to post in future either on HRT Board or on this Transgender Talk Board or on several other Boards.
I have received and still receive great benefit from HRT and my story is attached below and includes dates for me but please remember we are all different and you may or may not experience the same changes at the same or at different times.

Thank you so much for the well wishes and response and also I just read through your entire post and I am so happy for you and can't wait to experience the changes. I know YMMV lol but just to know that the right hormones are coursing through my body is such an alleviating feeling.

Thank you for your wellwishes after reading my thread on HRT Board.
After 15 posts you gain extra privileges including sending PMs and at 14 now, you are nearly there. You just go into your messages. I suggest you tick box in your profile such that sent messages are saved in outbox.
