Is it normal to worry at the beginning of every step. My therapist said they will sign for hrt but now im worried i wont have time to go and see an endocrinologist to get them. Is that normal.
Leah,
I am going to say yes. I am pre everything except for therapy. I want to start hormones as soon as possible to stop my receding hairline and to get my body moving in the right direction for me. I have concerns with it all because I am older, 52, and married. Those hormones will change the game forever. I will probably balk once I am given the green light for hormones as well. I just can't imagine that it's totally cut and dried for the vast majority of transitioners. There will always be some doubt. If you feel right about HRT then it's right for you. Love and faith.
Gabrielle
Worry and doubt are our constant companions on this journey, at least at the beginning. Yes this is totally normal.
Someone once said, "Why worry about something if you can change it? And what is the point of worrying about something if you cann't change it?" So if the source of your worry is something you can change, get out there and change it. And if it is something that you can't change, do your best and then go with the flow.
Congratulations on getting your therapist's approval for HRT. Now make the time to go see the endo.
