Forgive me if this in the wrong section
I was going through some posts and I read a girl saying that the pelvis build influences in depth and ability to maintain it? Is this true? Because, I'm not tall but I have VERY wide hips and my hips aren't wide cause there's a lot of fat, they're wide because my pelvic bone is wide. Do you gals think that this will influence my success with the depth thingy? Which considering the fact that I'm very heterosexual, it's kinda, well, important.
Based on my understanding from yesterday's surgery consult, the pelvis primarily influences width, not depth. Testosterone influenced pelvises have a smaller area in the center compared to cis female.
Apparently, once you get past the prostate, there is lots of "wide open space". Of course, you body anatomy limits what can be done, even depth wise.
Hugs, Sarah

I believe the biggest influence on depth is the surgeon.
FYI . . . .My surgeon (Dr Bluebond-Langner at NYU) mentioned during my 1 year appt that "the pelvic floor can limit depth" . . . . I didn't question her about it. I have 5.5" depth which is fine for me since I'm Lesbian. . .

Isn't 5.5" to 6" average anyway?
I have a little over 5 inches. It's enough for my boyfriend. I got luck and have 41 inch hips.
One thing I can say about dilation is even if you slack off for a while you can build it back. It just takes time and motivation.

OMG isn't this the truth Ruth. I haven' recently started Dilation regularly. I lost some depth but regained it all back recently. It definitely takes dedication and in my case a little irritation for over dilating I think lol.
Either way, yes it can be built back up.
