Hi everyone!
I'm MTF and 2.5 weeks on estrogen injections and spironolactone. I feel exhausted and it's barely dinner time. It's been like this since about the end of week one.
Is this normal? I like what's happening to my body but I hate feeling like crap all the time.
For the first couple of weeks the spiro made me really sleepy. It could also be dehydration since it is a diuretic.

@scrambledeggs Yes... especially because of the Spiro .... it not only is a T-blocker but also it is a "water-pill'
or dietetic as
@AnamethatstartswithE mentioned in her reply.
You need to take care to stay very hydrated because dehydration will make you lethargic and low on energy.
Best Wishes,
Danielle
I feel like that when my estrogen levels are low.
Side effects are weird in that some of us will experience a specific side effect and many others do not.
I have a MTF friend who cannot tolerate any Estrogens because she says that they sap all her energy out of her. She lives a life where physical work is a daily experience and she likes to work out in the gym with her friends.
For myself, even though I am active, I do not need the extreme physical strength that you get from Testosterone. I am just fine with Estradiol.
Adequate estradiol concentrations should provide energy and sustain mood. Spiro can cause exhaustion if you aren't drinking enough plain water and/or consuming SALT. Usually E injections taken alone suffice to suppress T. Check with your doctor.
Thank you to everyone who answered!
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. It's been a rough couple of days for me.
I have actually been feeling much better these past few days. The night I posted my comment I drank a can of soda and bottle of water and felt much better. I guess I was dehydrated after all.
Because our bodies trying to adjust to new level of hormones, and trying to reverse hormones from Male level to Female level. So just ask your doctor to how to fix the problem.
