[url]I just thought that I'd share a little more info, I am currently 29 mtf pre hormones, if anyone else is here from the uk then they'll know what I mean when I say that I am in the long line for my first appointment with my gic 🙄.
I am a currently a mechanic, living at home after a knee injury cut my time short in the forces (just getting back on my feet), hopefully buying my own place next year :). Living at home is pretty restrictive for me as my family are pretty old school but I'm used to that so holding out on my transition for when I leave home., I'm a bit of a geek and pretty much live on ark right now 😂, I love my motorbikes although iv not been able to ride much since I had the issues with my knee.
I'll try and download a few awful pics to this thread 😅

Hi Jessica and welcome, although I am in the US I am aware of the waiting that those of you in the UK need to do for transition.  And qualifying as well but once you do it is paid for so that is the positive part.

This is a very helpful site.  Don't be shy, ask questions.  Many people will have different opinions you just have to sort out which feel right for you.  My suggestion would be to take this time while you are recovering and in a bit of a waiting period both for your medical care and to move into a different living situation to take this waiting period to really come to terms with your gender orientation and get comfortable being the real you.

There are plenty of people here willing to listen and to support and help you.
Glad you are here.

Thankyou Kim :), I should have probably said that I have moved over to looking andro/femme, I have always looked fairly femme so it hasn't been noticed to much at home. It has been 3 years since my knee reconstruction op and actually today I am going to be trying running again for the first time! :), fingers crossed :)

Hi Jessica, nice to meet you.  Glad your knee recovery is going well.  I hope you're back to 100% soon.
It's always amazing the variety and diversity in the paths taken in those who make that final decision to transition.  I'd love to hear more about how you got to where you are now on your journey.   Thanks for sharing!

With Warm Regards,
Susan R🌷
