Title: About my seasonal job 2.0
Post by: Coffeedrew on November 26, 2018, 09:35:24 PM
I decided to stay at my seasonal job. So what I do is basically retail stocking, and I also unload the truck on Sundays.
I work with another guy in the back and me and him are like 4 people instead of two. I got news from my boss that after 5 years he is possibly leaving. I was told to be ready to take over his position. He told me he is going to school to be a welder, and he wants a better career with more pay.I am so sad about my job sometimes, and the reason why is it's a bunch of good people who are moving on with their lives. :( I get to meet these new and exciting people then they leave.
Anyway that guy will be special because he was my first secret crush on HRT. I'm not sure how I feel taking over his role to receive trucks, and I never asked for this much responsibility.

Anyway the reason why I am considering staying is I applied for Art School. I had to fill out my resume for that, and I liked listing all the stuff I have been trained to do. I am wanting to get a bachelors degree in Sequential Art. I originally wanted to be a illustrator, and specialize in concept art, or technical design. I cannot afford to move and can only do an online program.I do not want to do graphic design either. I like drawing and writing, even if my grammar is not all that good, and I figure if I do it enough of it I will get better. I try to make the most of every moment, so one day I can write stories about it all.

Thanks for reading. 😊

@Coffeedrew
Well, I am thinking that you reported all good news...
... a possible job promotion with more responsibly and hopefully more pay....
and applying to get into Art School.

Please, as you feel comfortable doing, keep us all updated regarding your life events in these areas.
Thank you for posting your thoughts.

Hugs,
Danielle

I read some of your pages, and here is one of my favorite quotes I wanted to share. "What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals." -Henry David Thoreau

@Coffeedrew
That is certainly a wonderfully inspiring and encouraging quotation.   Please feel free to post it on my following thread.
      "Positive Mindset... put away negativity" (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,238255.0.html)

If you don't care to post it yourself, please let me know and I would like to post it there.
Again, thanks for sharing.
