So ladies, what is the next step you are taking toward becoming who you are?

It was the toughest thing for me to do so far, I had a long time to consider the bad things that could happen, turns out LOVE WINS! She siad I will always love you, And she being like me is immersed in doing research on this. I love her and my family so much! This was my Next step! What is yours?
Love and hugs, Marcie
My next step in my life endeavors is planning to travel back "home" around Christmas-time to visit my parents and old friends for the first time in 2 years.
Good for you, Marcis, telling your sister! Coming out is always a difficult step.

My next step is GRS. I have my referral letters (Well, with the postal slowdown, I haven't actually seen the second one yet, but I am assured that it has been sent, and a copy faxed to my doctor), and now it will be mostly waiting. So, hopefully, surgery in late 2019.
HRT. I'm just waiting for an appointment with the endocrinologist.
FFS and boob embiggification on Monday :o
While I look forward to the results, I'm not so thrilled about recovery.

My next step is GRS. Friday, December 14, 2018. The surgeon is Dr. Sherman Leis in Philadelphia. Gosh, that is only two weeks away!

@Colleen_definitely Dear Colleen:I hear you and can understand your feelings... what you will be going through with your surgical refinements, as they help you to get to your transition goals, are most definitely life-changing and exciting and frighting
all at once.
Oh yeah, the recovery is a big dea tool, lots of threads that you have probably already followed here on the forums that describe many of the surgery and recovery issues that others have experienced.
..... just remember... NO Pain, NO Gain !!!!
Please continue to keep us all updated but only as you feel comfortable doing.

Oh I know, I've been down that road with SRS already and this isn't supposed to be as bad.
I'll just feel like I got kicked in the chest by a horse and look like I stopped a dump truck with my forehead, lol.

@KathyLaurenDear Kathy: I have been following your thread and your other posts around the Forums so I know your story about waiting for this and waiting for that, etc, etc,.... very frustrating for sure!
You were in the military so you should be quite familiar with the "hurry up and wait" scenario!
Please continue to keep us all updated as you have been doing.

Dr. appt next Wednesday. Plan to inquire about GCS and FFS. At this point it would just be to see if she is familiar with anyone that does them and her thoughts. I'm ready to start thinking about actually getting them.

Gender correction surgery. HRT and living authentically are going great.

Danielle, thanks so much for your good wishes. The only problem is that I am Jewish and have never celebrated Christmas. I could call it a late Chanukah present! :)

So wonderful to visit with family! I hope you have plenty of down time just to visit!
My wife will be telling more of her family this weekend, they are who we ususally spend the holidays with so this will be a big event one way or another!

For me is it to find a surgeon for orchy who takes Medicare advantage plans. HRT is very frustrating for me, I started the forth week now, and cannot detect any results whatsoever from it.

Four weeks in on HRT really is still early to have physical effects. I first started having detectable effects at about 6 weeks, an intermittent sensation of calm as my testosterone level approached the bottom of the male range. This became my new normal at around 3 months. I started to see changes in breast tissue at around 2 1/2 to 3 months as I recall.

I don't know if and when I might see changes in breast tissue, because I have close to B cup breasts already (without HRT), I hope that estrogen will still work on them, because I would want to get to a C cup.
I have a bandwidth of 42, and B cup boobs look really little on a chest of this size.

Dietlind dear, how long did it take you to get your PhD? Transitioning could be called the PhD of life, one needs patience and perseverance and it takes years and may never end. Please be patient with yourself and let go of the frustration.

But when I was working towards my academic degree, I had many years in front of me, and it was not as pressing to get there. Now that I work on my body mods, the years are counted, and I want some time to have fun with the new me! The sooner I get there, the more time for fun is left!
I mean, I am halfway there, and HRT was meant to give it some extra boost, and I don't see anything of that extra!

WELL, more family now knows of my change! Not sure of results from all that, and expect it to go out to a lot of one side of hte family quickly from here. Next is HR and figuring out work! And still have some close family to tell directly and my church! Love and hugs Marcie.

@Marcieelizabeth Dear Marcie:I am looking at your update as all good news!! Telling your family and your church friends and coming out to them is such a life-freeing and mind-freeing experience. Sure, with some family members and some church members it may be very difficult and might present some disagreeable issues but telling them "directly" in person or with a personal message is a much better way to go than letting the gossip hotline be the source of information for them about your transition.
Ahhh, the HR department at your work....
....are they doing what they should be doing with your transitioning?
Thank your for keeping us all updated,
Hugs and well wishes as always,
Danielle

I had an opportunity to tell my direct supervisor since we were going oaquaintenancesa t work, but it is will be soon! ver all the outside stress I was experiencing and how that was impacting my work life, so I asked if she could keep something personal private she said of course, and I just told her, she asked a few questions and told me some had asked about the make up I was wearing, but she had told them it is my choice, and business. THEN she came out to me as being in a a same sex marriage! I cried and congratulated her and asked if I could hug her, and we did! It was awesome! I still have not found out my wife's families' reaction, or told church or HR or other acquaintances at work about my gender change. That will be soon!! I am passing a lot now, my daughter was in the hospital for three weeks and I was doing a lot of running around the hospital for food, etc. I was maam'ed more than not! It was great. I could not have imagined that that would happen so easily. A few changes to my hair - Toppik fibers and spray, and jewelry and just a little change in my clothes and carrying my purse more prominently and Voila!
Thank your for keeping us all updated,
Hugs and well wishes as always,

Hey Ladies! I am out to my entire immediate family, all sisters brother inlaws, sister in laws, and a number of others, and if you looked at me - the world, but I still have to assure the rest of the senior staff, that I am not just gaining an interest in make-up and womens clothes, and to tell HR, and my pastor and a couple close friends face to face and then...Its Marcie time!! I really cannot wait!
Thanks to you all this is what can happen! Love ya all, especially HappyMoni, Laurie, AlaskanDanielle, and so many others!
Now, lose weight, do lots of electrolysis, affirm relationships, schedule surgery, figure out hair...? What is next for you?
Love and Hugs, Marcie
You will do it, one step at a time! After all, you are just a young chick (everybody seems to be young to me these days).
I am out to everybody I care for to be out to, and it is a very liberating feeling.
You are not the only one in the loosing weight field. That stuff seems to get on so easy, and is a pain in the **** to loose again. But I think we are strong, if we had the guts to become women, and tell everybody who we are, we have enough strength to deal with that stupid bacon on our bodies!
Good luck for your continuous adventure!

@Marcieelizabeth Dear Marcie:This is such wonderful news that you reported!!! :)
As I have mentioned in many various posts and comments that I have made, when you come-out, especially to family members and loved ones, it is such a freeing experience, like a big heavy weight is lifted off your shoulders. No more burdens of physically and mentally hiding your secret, you can now live more freely and openly as you have desired. I am very happy for you that you have accomplished this difficult deed.
More tasks ahead like telling others as you mentioned, but each time that you come-out it will start to become easier and easier and less stressful... the biggest difficulty you have already faced, coming out to your family... kudos to you.
Now, for you to continue on in your journey with more tasks ahead as you previously mentioned, then it is "Marcie time." :) :) :)
Thank you for sharing and posting your continuing transition story as you continue toward your goals.
I will be eagerly following your thread for your future updates as you feel comfortable posting them.
Many Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle

Hey Moni! I have pierced ears, dyed hair, threaded eyebrows have told one church friend and a former Pastor and have a meeting set up with our current Pastor, and a time set to tell my favorite cousin about who Marcie is! If you want to chime in to my Pastor, maybe we can meet up this weekend and call together? LOL
Have a "blessed" day Moni!
