Title: Semi-formal take 2
Post by: Jaime320 on December 01, 2018, 01:02:23 PM
Sorry for double post, but thought more visible over here.

What's considered semi formal? Only thing I've found so far is very short form fitting cocktail dresses with strapy sandals. Brrr it's freezing up here with snow and wind. Long walk downtown, no thanks. Though I did see lots of girls with thigh high boots and short skirts last night. The lengths girls go to be cute. Umm also Not into the short skirt bare leg bit. Wearing hose or tights is a must for me due to a skin discoloring.  it's not pretty. that means closed toe shoes.  Help a new girl out please. What should I be looking for. The two dresses I have with me aren't good enough for a semi-formal I think.

Semi-formal could include below the knee dresses. My wife uses those for going to symphony concerts.

You could also wear an ankle-length dress or skirt, especially if you can pair it with something playful or bright.

A sweater or other long sleeved top is always acceptable in winter. You can layer with something interesting either under or over.

Thanks. Sounds like my two dresses, or the sweater skirt I have may work. Maxi dress I have with me. https://imgur.com/a/V9P8SKd

This photo is from last month. Just noticed my hands Don't look the same. Veins are gone and hands are thinning out.
