I have been on hrt since August. Since then there have been many of the usual changes.
So, today I was working the cash register, and got my first misgender being called ma'am by a woman. :)
They were embrassed by their mistake, I told them no issues , and we laughed it off.
It's a huge wow, but it also concerns me. I have mixed emotions right now about it that I am trying to process.
This is a stepping stone towards the next milestone.
I am going to bed.

Well, I figure it's a happy occasion, right? ;)
For me the intent is everything. It's never the best thing to happen, but if it's a genuine and innocent mistake then brush it off and move on.
I was going out to my car yesterday. A woman walked past with her young son. I heard the little boy say "that's a man" (in reference to me), but that's kids for you! His mum was very polite and didn't comment. X

I got in the habit of saying "No worries, I know I'm sending mixed signals." :)
I agree with Megan, intent
is everything.
