It was a kickboxing gym. I arrived in sweatpants and a winter coat, but they still immediately gendered me female. I used the women's locker room, and as far as anyone was concerned I was just a tall woman. I was a little worried since it was a small class (they have to get you gloves and show you how to actually do the moves properly) and some of he stretches made me worried that my "male privilege " would show. But, it was a really great confidence boost.
I just thought I'd share the good news, I started hrt a month before my 35th birthday, so it is possible.

Congratulations! It is awesome for sure! Mine was the swimming pool wearing a skirt swim suite.
I think a lot of it is in our own head. Time is the ultimate cure I think.

First of all I don't know if you posted this or not but happy birthday second of all congratulations I would suggest microfiber panties yes I've suggested these several times before but I think they would really help for when you're taking your kickboxing class during your stretches because they do keep your unfortunate Parts in place very well I might add mine never shift and I can walk around in the shortest mini skirts and I don't worry about it or a bikini bottom probably work also I wanted to ask how does your kickboxing class or any kind of martial arts class help you with stress and anger
If you can't accept yourself, how can you expect others to accept you?

Yeah, I think confidence is a lot of it. And good for you on the swimming, I'm way too chicken to try that out.

My birthday was in September, but thank you. I should clarify that I've been on hrt for over 15 months at this point. As to your second question the only real stress I had was wondering if people would read me as male/trans, so I can't answer that right now. Though I will say that at one point I tried imagining that the punching bag was a certain world leader (his initials are DJT), but I was hitting so hard that it was hurting my knuckles 😉.

You know that actually does help a whole lot and congratulations being on for 15 months I know I probably saw it in one of your posts before cuz I do actually read them I just probably forgot because my memory is crappy anymore but again thank you very much I think I will have to look into some kind of exercise or something to relieve my stress I do get therapeutic massages once a month my next one is actually scheduled Monday that is going to be the best hour of my life but I need something for the rest of the month LOL

congrats!!! How exciting
Good for you! Being accepted in women's locker rooms is an important milestone.
That's something I'm not brave enough to try yet. My thighs are a little too muscular which might not be that unusual in gyms but I always feel self-conscious when my thighs are visible while I'm presenting as female.
