Title: Outage this morning
Post by: Susan on December 18, 2018, 11:31:27 AM
In case you were wondering, I am so stressed out about finances right now with the Christmas and Tax slowdown times being here, and us being so close to the wire financially, that I actually forgot to pay the electric and internet bill this month, and the power got cut off. Normally we have a 2 month buffer built up that gives us some cushion to be able to handle the lowered donations during this time of the year. Sadly it's been gradually eroded through recurring shortfalls.

On top of that I am enjoying a lovely psoriasis outbreak on my scalp due to the stress...

Cognitive symptoms of stress include:

    Constant worrying
    Racing thoughts
    Forgetfulness and disorganization
    Inability to focus
    Poor judgment
Being pessimistic or seeing only the negative side

Emotional symptoms of stress include:

Becoming easily agitated, frustrated, and moody
Feeling overwhelmed, like you are losing control or need to take control
Having difficulty relaxing and quieting your mind
Feeling bad about yourself (low self-esteem), lonely, worthless, and depressed
    Avoiding others

Please help support this site by donating this month. It would reduce my stress tremendously! Anything helps!

Dear Susan:
STRESS is a killer, not only of your mind and your abiltity to think, but also it is a killer of your physical body.
I trust that you can find a way to overcome your stresses in your life which I am certain may include other things besides Susan's Place finances.

I am wishing for you good health, success and certainly LESS STRESS...
...the following are some quotes that have become my personal mantras that may interest you.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle

"The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another." - Hans Selye

"Its not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it." - William James

"I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else." - Winston Churchill

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." – Winston Churchill

The beauty of being in a different time zone: I wasn't aware that there had been downtime.

Get yourself some eggnog, take time to enjoy the lights and decorations. Be with the ones you love.  :)

Hugs, Devlyn
