What changes have you experienced so far?  I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in May.

Breast growth ,  feel more emotions cry easier don't hold my problems In
I generally feel happier . My disphoria is like a thing of the past
Even if I don't pass yet I still feel better over all.  I stopped thinking about
My gender and am much more focused on other things in my life.
My face has rounded out. I also should mention I have a kidney disease so
I've only been on a full dose of estrogen and progesterone since
That time I was started at a fairly low does and my dr slowly increased over
7 months. I am also 29 and started at 28 so I think being young helps in some ways too
Being I have a GP and and a nephrologist. I was never referred to an endocrinologist.
My GP has probably 55-60% trans patients so he is extremely knowledgeable.
I've also been told by friends I'm more confident. I've also read old Facebook posts
Or notes from before transition and it's like how I form sentences
It's much easier now VS before. My step mom also mentioned it.
Have a strong support network has also helped tons too I didn't lose
Anyone coming out it was great total support. Most of my male friends
Had a hard time with it. But they have all Since come around.
My brother has been there the whole way he was the second person I came
Out too and if he says he by mistake he corrects himself immediately. Another friend switched
Over night and hasn't slipped up once. Not sure how he did that

Bit of an update I saw my GP an hour ago I'm getting a refferal to get
My letters for GCS I'm excited but also anxious thinking about it
I'd never go back to pretending to be a guy again. I will have to wait probably
A month or two for my appointments I'm sure by that point I'll know
I was seeing my doctor for something unrelated and it just slipped out
Plus to have it payed for by Canada's Medicare it's a two year
Wait if you live in BC. But a gcs surgeon is now or soon will be in
Vancouver so it could be less. Right now it's montreal or in some cases
The USA but it's more rare to go south of the border for it.
I'd rather wait longer as dr brassard is my first choose anyway

Another possibility may be Toronto.  There's a GCS clinic being set up at Women's College Hospital, but I don't know if they're ready for GCS surgery yet.  That clinic would be great for me, as I could get there with a cab ride.

Yeah it's good Canada is getting more options.
I am in Victoria so it's a short ferry to Vancouver
So recovery is easier then having to fly across Canada
And family can easily make it over well I'm in recovery

I stop reading when I see that you are not going to an endocrinologist and you attend to someone who is not just a doctor who does not specialize in HORMONES as an endocrinologist, maybe he just gives you things to make you feel good and maybe that medicine is the same as self-medication.

Please go to an endocrinologist, they really know what they are doing, not a doctor who knows, it is safer when you visit someone especialized.

No it's not at all like that I've been doing regular blood work ever 3 months plus monthly
Labs for my kidney function.
I'm my city he has tons of experience. I'm never the only person who's
Trans there. His staff are extremely professional and he partners with another
When I started hrt in 2018 I mentioned it too him. He felt it was unnecessary. He was recommended to me. Threw transcare BC they cover all medical care for
Any one who is transgender in my province. I agree a lot of doctors lack experience.
But he has years of it with both MTF and FTM. Thanks for the concern but I'm
In excellent hands between him my nephrologist and naturalpath. I am well looked after..
