At least not to work. Also let me be clear, I mean "pants" in the American sense of the word.
When I first went full time back in June I actually tried not to dress too femininely. I think I was afraid of living up to the stereotype of trans women who go overboard with the femininity so I tried to look as bland as possible. After a week I wore a skirt for the first time, and now I have yet to not wear a skirt or dress to work in 2019. It feels like an odd thing to feel so strongly about, it being January I have to wear tights, and thus can't even feel the skirt. But knowing its there, and seeing it in my lap just gives me warm "I love being a girl" feelings. Does anybody else get this?
When I was a kid I used to get so jealous of the pretty clothes the girls used to wear. I should have taken it as a sign when, in junior high, I would take Victoria's Secret catalogs out of the recycling bin, and spend countless hours marveling at the outfits.
I never really thought that my style would be this femme, but it is. What's also weird is that I've heard from cis girls that they feel vulnerable and have trouble sticking up for themselves when wearing a skirt. I feel more confident. I guess I'm just weird.
Enjoy this, one of the niceties of being a woman! Wearing appropriate business attire that happens to be a skirt or dress is just fine to do.
I would not be concerned about this being in some way as going overboard with femininity.
Wear pants or other clothing when appropriate or when you desire.

Hats off to you! This is one of the worst things that I see all the time. Just enough does the job perfectly.

Oh, yes! I, too, love wearing skirts, and I do so any chance I can. The weather this time of year makes it impractical, but as soon as it warms up, I'll be wearing skirts outside the house again.
The only time that I wear pants is when riding my motorcycle. Kathy, it is never to cold or wintery to not wear a skirt. When the storms are heavy I wear long denim or wool skirts with warm leggings or tights and high boots. Agreed, really cold may be different but that combination works for me down to -20 F.

I love skirts and sometimes wear them over pajamas and jeans. I love the extra bit of color, fabric or pattern. Sure, I get odd looks when friends visit but it truly makes me happy. I have tights and leggings and manage to stay warm in any weather too. It's getting colder, so I don't know how long this will last. "I love being a girl" describes my sense of fashion completely :)

Skirts can look beautiful. I prefer A-line skirts.

At any opportunity for me
I have 3 skirts and three dresses and never wear them. Wearing those items i would stand out like a beacon in the crowd here. Women here wear in that what we consider winter (at temperatures blow 70º F) either jeans/jeans like pants, leggings, or Capris. During the rest of the year it is ether shorts or Capris. I can't remember, when I have last seen a woman with a skirt or dress on.

That's too bad. Where I work we can wear whatever we want, though most tend towards corporate casual.

I get it completely and you're not weird. I was shopping for some nice ladies shorts the other day just to have and feel relaxed around the house. I ended up buying a few very nice short skirts instead. I was sitting down just as you described, looking down at my lap and thought the exact same thing. It was so nice to see myself so comfortable in my new skirt. I was so happy! It's a small change but makes such a difference in how I see and feel about myself.

I was talking to a GG at lunch the other day and our conversation veered off to clothes shopping and how much she enjoyed buying 2nd hand clothes. Didn't get to talk to her the next day, but she was wearing a skirt in the middle of winter!
