What are your favorite pizza toppings?
I do enjoy some good Italian sausage, onions, and sometimes pepperoni and mushrooms.
Lots of good sauce and cheese is a plus.

@ChrissyRyanDear Chrissy:I really like the toppings that you mentioned...
When I order a pizza, I usually get
Pepperoni
Sausage
Mushrooms
Olives
Green Pepper
Onion
.... Thin crust
My local Pizza place has their "Combo" that has all of that,
and they have frequent reduced prices on their Combo!!! :) :) :)
Hugs,
Danielle
White clam pizza is my favorite! It is a good choice if you have problems with lactose.
I usually get it from Pepe's of New Haven, which now has a couple restaurants in Connecticut.

I never heard of clams for a pizza topping. That is interesting!
Some people put pineapples, banana peppers, fish (anchovies), and even Chicken Alfredo on their pizzas.

black olives, mushrooms, cheddar, and Italian sausage.
Next week I think I'll make a pizza.
Sundried tomatoes and goat cheese

Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, extra mozzarella cheese with a goodly amount of marinara sauce on a thicker hand tossed crust. This my friends is the basis of all great pizza. It can be a pan pizza and is can have additional toppings like bell pepper onions, olives, jalapenos, ham or Canadian bacon, etc. Normal toppings none of the cracker crusts and fancy gormet toppings. No pineapple and ONLY marinara sauce. Anything else is just wrong.

goat cheese is so under rated
My favourite is
'nduja sausage
Calabrese sausage
red chilli
Roquito pepper
roasted peppers
buffalo mozzarella
pesto
Gran Milano cheese
And lots of rocket
Did I mention the rocket

Here in the UK there is some controversy about having pineapple pizza. I love a pineapple and black olives pizza after a night out but my favourite in general is a margharita with creamy mozarella on a thin crispy base with a swirl of goodbolive oil Mmm.

It's my go to for salads also. Feta is an acceptable substitute but goat cheese is better.

Onions, mushrooms, black olives, sausage, bacon and anchovies. Yes anchovies. Yum! Though I usually have to order the anchovies on the side because only my brother and I like them. If my dad sees an anchovie even near his pizza he won't eat it. Lol. Surprisingly pizza is one of the few things Tristan doesn't put vegemite on.
I will eat a pizza with pineapple on it but I have to be in the mood. Chicken on pizza? NO! Just no! Chicken does not belong on pizza any more than it belongs in a taco. Ewww!

There is chicken and then there is chicken. Flame grilled or seared in a hot pan with the proper spices, chicken is a great replacement for beef in Mexican food and I suspect it could be with pizza as well. Boiled or picked out of a baked chicken, probably it wouldn't be as good. On the other hand, they are using turkey to make sausage and other flavored meats that taste more like the beef version so you might want to give it a try sometimes.
Pepperoni
Sausage
Black Olives
Onion
Those are my favorites. I will not eat a pizza with any of the following.
Pineapple
Chicken or any other meat other than those I mentioned above.
Cream Sauce
Big huge slices of mushrooms. They have to be small little pieces mixed in for me to eat mushrooms.
One of my daughters loves to take home thanksgiving dinner left overs to make a pizza at home. She uses gravy as the sauce and adds the turkey and mashed potatoes. Her hubby and kids all like it. I don't think I could even try it. Just isn't PIZZA in my mind.
So far, lots of variety! :)
Yum!

Anchovies! yes please, too bad most pizza places do not have them anymore. Other toppings Mushrooms , Black Olives, Feta cheese and Jalapeno peppers.
Oddest kind of pizza I have had was one that had toppings like a Vietnamese Banh mi sandwich, was actually pretty good.
My favorite is sausage and pineapple. I may get grief on the pineapple but it just works so well with sausage.

I have not seen that in any other pizza place since then.

You must lead a charmed life @Alaskan Danielle. Hawaiian pizza is on almost every pizza joint I've been in here on the west coast. and it is Yuckie poo. ewwwww even. pineapple does not belong anywhere near a pizza.

If I ever get you a pizza Laurie, I will make sure that it does NOT have any pineapple on or in it.
No pineapple. Absolutely none. :) No poi either.

Laurie,
You don't know what you're missing. So goooood.:)
Plus with the sausage you have sweet and spicy.
Hawaii pizza has been around for a long time and that is ham and pineapple. But I did invent the pineapple and Sausage one. LOL
Try it you'll like it. Again, so good....
Julie
The best pizza - authentic Palermitan pizza, with pepperoni and spinach. And some olive oil to dip the pane in
Has anyone tried a hamburger pizza?
It is sometimes listed as beef, and it is for sure not sausage or Italian sausage.
It was okay.
Laurie might like it, as it had no trace of pineapple. :)
She is such a good cook, ever see her cooking pictures? Wow.
Chrissy
Pepperoni and/or Italian sausage, roasted peppers and onions, sometimes onions, spinach, basil and tomato, and of course always a nicely seasoned tomato sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

The best way to reheat pizza may be dependent on the type of pizza (depth, crust type, etc.)
What do you think the best way to reheat pizza is? Assume you had the pizza in the refrigerator overnight (so it is now cold) and the pizza is still good and safe to eat.
Chrissy

Yes! Finally! Ditto! Was starting to despair Julia . . . but it's gotta be true NY style, not Pizza-Yuck! Tell yer father GROW UP!

I like a 350 degree oven. I put the pizza on a pizza pan or heavy cookie sheet and put it in the oven for 8 minutes with a thin crust or 12 minutes for a regular crust. This will vary somewhat on your oven temperature. If I were reheating a bunch of pizza, I have a pizza stone I would preheat and place the pizza directly on it. Using this method, no soggy crusts.

Wait, I'm not the only anchovy fan here? Yay!
Ooooo, I love this thread!
I have 2 pizzas. Before I became a vegan, I loved:
Marinara sauce
Mozzarella and Parmesan
Pineapples
Anchovies
Olives
However, I also loved the "gourmet vegetarian" pizza that Papa Murphy's used to make before they closed down near my town. So, now I make a home variant:
(vegan) Alfredo sauce
(vegan) Mozzarella and Parmesan
Artichoke hearts
Onions
Olives
Zucchini
Tomatoes
Spinach

But some pepperonis with it is nice.
I would now say lots of mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage, sometimes mushrooms, and perhaps onions. I will eat pepperoni on a pizza but I do not think I would order it that way unless it is part of some "meat speciality pizza" that a group I am out with wants to get.
Chrissy
Although pineapple on pizza did taste good for the first slice, after that it was not that pleasant. I conclude that I would never order a pineapple pizza, but if I had to eat a small piece, I might, if I was hungry or did not want to offend a host providing it.
I vote NO for pineapple on pizza!
Eat pineapple by itself!
