I love my breast implants, but without the larger areolas my breasts do not look right. Has anyone had their areolas tattooed to make them appear larger? Any other suggestions? Mine are only about as big around as quarters.
Progesterone perhaps?

Progesterone perhaps?
Thanks! I didn't know progesterone could do that. I have only been on estradiol so far.
How long has it been since surgery? If they haven't settled completely I wouldn't rush to the tattoo parlor just yet.
Yes, progesterone was effective for me. It does take a while. Patience is key.
Yes progesterone can make them bigger. It takes a while but the effect is like how pregnant women's areolas enlarge during pregnancy. Use Bio identical like prometrium either pill micronized or injectable. Stay away from progestins since they are synthetics. Imo suppository are better than oral micronized.
I have been on a combined Oestrogen and Progesterone regime (promethium) for just a little over one year. I take Oestrogen tablets twice a day on days 1-16, then adding an evening Progesterone tablet (at night time) from Days 16-30.
I dont take any blockers.
After about 7 months on the combined regime, I noticed an enlargement of my aureolas during my monthly cycle and a girlfriend mentioned that they looked just like hers during her pregnancy. It's not a permanent thing, but my areolae and nipples are definitely more noticeable at the second part of my monthly cycle.

My areolas increased in size after I had my BA. I would estimate a 50% increase in size.
Dr. McGinn suggested I use a progesterone cream on my nipples about six months before my BA. It is not over the counter so I had to get it at a compounding pharmacy. It did a nice job of increasing the areolas and when I got surgery, they really looked good. It might be worth a try post surgery as well. My blood count was off when I was taking oral progesterone so I really liked the idea of it being applied just locally on the needed area.
