Ouch!  Most of the immigrants coming in from Central America are seeking asylum on the basis that the disintegration of law and order and prevalence of gang violence in their home countries place them in fear for their lives.  And trans folks are at even higher risk than the general population.  US immigration courts usually don't accept the claims.

Looks like this woman was right . . .
