Title: My latest before and after
Post by: Megan. on February 18, 2019, 04:21:48 AM
I was involved in a photo shoot for my employer last September to help promote diversity, and as I think the pictures aren't half-bad, I'd thought I share them here. The last of the three is me pre-transition in 2014!

Sorry Megan l think you posted the wrong pics. I see a lovely woman and then some old gezzer standing outside a pub. Reminds of a Liverpool breakfast long ago!

Hehe, that old picture was taken at a microbrewery in London promoting it's new beer; I knew the owner via a colleague. That man in the picture does seem like an increasingly separate person to who I am now, but one I'm proud of nonetheless.

I think it was Cindy who once said words to the effect of:

"These men carry us for years to the place we need to be."

Hugs, Devlyn

Wow isn't enough to describe the difference, the change is remarkable. Based on the pictures alone I would say that the guy may be a distant relative of yours at best.

Remarkable!  Look at the joy in those top two photos.

I do not see the similarities between the first two and last photos. You have demonstrated ninja transition skills if the bottom picture is actually you. :)

You and your brother look happy in the picture.

Thank you.

Weight loss, hair transplants and 18 months of HRT. But, as for many, the mental and emotional changes have been bigger than the physical ones. X

That's some change! The before picture looks like one of Millwall Fred's firm from the Dorian bathroom scene!

Megan!! You look great! What an awesome change!

If I may ask, did your hair grow back from HRT? It looks so full and thick compared to you pre-woman days!

I did have FUE hair transplants to my crown, not to my hairline, which could still be better...

I think HRT (along with finasteride and minoxidil) have helped a bit too,  but it's hard to say how much.
It's still quite thin on top, so some judicious styling is required.

Pictures below from before and the morning after my transplant..

Dear Megan:
Wow...... interesting before and after pictures.

Question:
Was there a lot of pain and discomfort with that procedure?
It sure looks painful!!!

Hugs,
Danielle

Not really. They numbed up the top of my head before the procedure, that was the worse bit, after that just lying flat for a long time; but while it looks bad,  there was no real pain after at all. [emoji3526]

Glad to hear it didn't hurt too terribly. I've heard of hair regrowth on HRT, but I don't personally know anyone who claims it's happened to them. Me, I rely on wigs. And I've become pretty good at making them appear natural. But I'd love to have hair again.
