Title: Lifes Journey
Post by: Audrey on January 09, 2008, 03:01:08 AM
Sometimes it gets hard always having to be strong.
Always swimming upstream, against the current, an uphill battle, against the wind.
When the only thing that I am looking for is love.
From my family, from myself.
Is there happiness out there or is it just fleeting hope for happiness.
God I need someone, but is there anyone.
I'm so tired of having to be the strong one.
Alone.

Hi Audrey
I must say that those words sound familiar. I am so grateful I met Wing Walker, I cling to her like she were my life saver.

Hi, Audrey,

It was a few seconds before I read your posting that it occurred to me that there are a million things to do in this life that are easier than making one's outer gender to match one's inner gender.  In a nation of 310,000,000 people, very few of us do anything to fix this problem, this dysphoria.

We fly alone, just as the eagle does, alone and strong, through whatever weather.  We fly well-above the turkeys who roost on the ground.

I have come to find that there is love out there but it seldom comes from family or friends.  As you continue in your transition you might well find another like yourself.  That is what happened to me.  Family and friends are judgmental to the absolute.  I've given up on them.

Cindy and I met almost six years ago and we have been together since.  We are each other's partner and family and I cannot think of living this life without her.

I hope that you are as blessed and as happy as I am.

Wing Walker
