Hi
I had my surgery almost 3 years ago. Penile inversion vaginoplasty in the UK. I recently just started having intercourse for the first time and it was a bit sore initially but after a few times everything seemed fine. About a week and a half ago I noticed a smear of what looked like old blood on the bed-sheets after intercourse, thought nothing of it, just assumed there was a microtear or something.
Its gotten worse recently, I started to get grey-beige discharge that had no odor other than just general vag smell. I still had Betnovate ointment left over from when I was given it by my surgeon to treat the granulation myself at home between treatments, so I applied some internally. I had the usually grey-beige discharge this morning when I woke up, but about half an hour ago I had a bowel movement and noticed that I was bleeding bright red blood from my vagina afterwards. I'm not sure whether the action of opening ones bowels somehow agitated the suspected granulation inside or what, but I'm quite freaked out by it now.
I will have to go see my GP but i'm horribly embarrassed about going to see him for issues surrounding my genitalia, as it's not a normal vagina, the odds are I'm the first person he's seen who's had SRS, I'm a little bit tired of being an 'interesting case' now.
Any thoughts?
You should see a Dr. and get checked.
@Aibhilín I completely agree with
@mm Yes, you need to right away go see your doctor.
No need to be embarrassed although it is understandable, but your doctor has most likely heard of everything or has already seen everything regarding the human body....
It doesn't matter because your doctor will treat you professionally and with respect...
...your doctor's task is to diagnose and treat.
Sudden and unexpected bleeding particularly from the genital area of your body is usually not a good thing and for your own peace of mind and your continued health please get in and see your doctor ASAP
I will be eagerly looking for your follow up report!!!
Hugs and best wishes,
Danielle
